if theres nobody interested in buying how can he sell, or does he just lock everything up chalk **** on it, and walk away ?. also what does p'c. actually own ?, does he own the ground, just the stands and playing area or just the squad and the pitch. plus how much will it cost toget shut of l.j. and his backroom staff ? if we peddle him and the new owners don't fancy his replacement ?.then there's the business of the john stones money ( if there is any) how do you factor that in ie, pitch and players worth 10m ( dunno just a random figure) so you sell it and 3 months later theres cheque for7m (?) drop through the letter box cost of the club, cost of club, 3m. but most of all don't forget this reds fans there's more than one CELLINO out there.......................................... everybody can cure a kicking horse,.... apart from them that own it
Looking at the amount of clubs smaller than ours than have found new owners and investors in the last few years, we should have no trouble. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My sentiments exactly! If he aint gunna sell at least be pro active in trying to change things rather than sit back and watch us be relegated
patricks said from day one that the club is up for sale but only to the right person, at least he made sure that the carpetbaggers will keep away
A few things here: 1) Firstly, PCs intentions from the start was to sell the club when he had sorted out the previous mess. 2) Does anyone on here know ALL the people or organisations that has approached the club to buy it........because to my knowledge this type of information has always been kept a close secret. 3) Patrick Cryne built iSoft up from nowt and at one point the company was valued at ONE BILLION. He did this, in part, by jumping on aeroplanes and selling the value of the company to people and companies living abroard. Obviously he is a man of substance - but why hasn't he done that for Barnsley Football Club? Some on here have suggested that Patrick looks at the club now as an expensive hobby - I hope this is not the case. As for the meeting held recently with Gally et al..........I think answers given at that meeting were diabolical.
Over the last few years, Bournemouth, Brentford, Rotherham, Peterborough thats just off the top of my head. You cant tell me someone like McAnthony isnt out there ready to invest in a club like ours, 23,000 stadium, great training and academy facilities and a decent enough fanbase compared to the clubs just mentioned. To my knowledge - PC owns 50% shares of the total land area. Barnsley Council own the other 50%. That's been put together so no one can demolish the WELL and build houses on it. PC also owns the football club. In other words............there's plenty there for an ambitious person or organisation to get their teeth into
That's is true when you mention them clubs our fanbase is good in comparison with those. Show an investor the premiership years oakwell full every week the support when we have been to Wembley. Or the times when we were doing well in the old division/championship . The good times come back so will the fans
3) isn't strictly correct ,KPMG set the business up ,with a management buy out forming iSoft of which PC was one
Peterborough have recently sold a large car park adjacent to the ground and built a great big block of flats there.
but how "big" is the bit that pat can sell and if its 50/50 with the council who wants them as a partner ? and as for smaller clubs than ours being sold bigger ones have as well and not done well out of it look at the likes of blackpool, Blackburn, Leicester sheff weds, Cardiff, darlington, and the ****s up the M1 leeds and Bradford. ok some got resold and are being turned around now but they we're ion the clarts, and just to finish, man utd, Liverpool, villa, fans not happy with there owners
All have done and still are doing better than us, without counting Darlington and Bradford because I really dont see where they come into it. I just cant see any reason why we would not be attracting any sort of investors with the facilities and infrastructure we have but Bournemouth, Brentford etc can. I know they're southern clubs, Brentford is London and so on but that wont be the be all to most investors. This then leads me to suspect either PC isnt really interested in selling or that he is being overly picky of who he sells to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
