To set this.straight.I'm neither for or against it Personally I think covert operations by the sas to take out the leaders would be the best approach
Absolutely correct bright red, tight behind you there apart from the admiration for Tony Ben. Whenever has Britain shied away from defending democracy, tell the fighting forces of the Second World War that they should have laid down and accepted the facist ideals of Germany. Tell them that their friends lives were wasted in vain, and many of these brave men were our own fathers, but now, today less than a lifetime away from that we find people who are confused enough to not understand the very principles of freedom and think we should not defend those very same principles our fathers died for. Not acceptable.
Tony Benn's speech in 1998 on bombing Iraq. With Corbyn sat behind him.
The best approach would be to get the entire military of all the coalition countries to march into Syria with EVERY tank, plane and weapon we have. iSIS would be outnumbered 10,000 to one and would be wiped out within weeks
Thanks for that W1zz, I'm blown away again, truely a great speech, and I can relate as I was against the invasion of Iraq myself, thought it stupid and vile, however things are different now this curse called ISIS must be dealt with and quickly in their so called caliphate. I have new admiration for Tony.
facism in spain was fought in the 1930's,mainly by republicans who were an army made up of volunteers from all over europe and the usa,,these volunteers were mainly trade unionists, socialists and communists. franco remained in power because the nationalists in spain won,,they had the money to equip themselves(with help from germany and italy, which included troops) whereas the republicans didnt, they had a few handouts from the russians but other than that they were on their own. facism, after the spanish civil war had a stronghold in europe, nationalists governments were in power in spain, italy and germany.
Yes, I would rather live in a Country where people actually were treated equally, rather than be shat upon , because they are poor, disabled or out of work! The whole Capitalist dictum, is about pitting everyone else against each other and standing back waiting for the cash to roll in ! You are the buffoon as you are unable to see what is in front of your face ! Oh I forgot you dont live here, you are wealthy enough and yet you consistantly tell US that live here whats best for us !
Corbyn won't lead the Labour party into the next election, he will be long gone before then. He is not a leader, and as much as I despise Cameron he Pisses all over Corbyn week in week out. A party divided is on a hiding to nothing, but worse still the country needs a strong opposition which unfortunately we don't have with Corbyn at the helm of the Labour party. The in fighting will progressively become worse and what electorate in their right minds would elect Labour to lead the country with Corbyn as leader? I will guarantee it will never happen.
cameron doesnt piss all over corbyn week in week out,in fact corbyn more than holds his own, especially at pmq's. it is the media that are distorting everything corbyn says and some of the public are buying into it.
The majority of the anti fascist forces were Spanish. The international brigade was a small army of as you say foreign trade unionists, socialists and communists . The fascists were backed up by Mussolini and Hitler to the point of war planes and heavy armour and weaponry. The inFighting of the anti fascists groups was a major setback in any progress against them and even with the help of the axis against them the Spanish people could still have been victorious such was their determination but the unwillingness of the allies along with the ferocious infighting alas it was not to be. The international brigade took orders direct from Stalin who's only objective was for the interests of the RUSSIAN communists.
The media play no part in my judgement of Corbyn I just use my eyes n ears and what I see is Cameron is head n shoulders above Corbyn as a leader. That doesn't mean that I agree with the crap that sometimes comes out of his mouth! But as a Leader no contest!
You use your eyes and ears , I'm afraid you'll have to do better than that to get past the Tory loving claptrap of the media even the ones supposedly anti Tory. You have used quotes from papers to have a go at him on this board without looking at the full sentences .so don't tell me you are making an honest judgement.
maybe not you but many are influenced by the medias treatment of corbyn..the right wing media in particular distort practically everything corbyn says..i'm not his biggest fan either but i listen to what he says then watch in disbelief how papers like the sun completely misquote him.
Then your dishonest So why not just say you dislike him instead of trying to be an itelligence martyr by making out your decision is not based on the witch hunt of him.
