I wonder if he consulted less constituents than he did other people. Naively I thought MPs were elected to represent their constituents
Nowhere in that statement does it say hthat the people he represents wanted him to vote for the air strikes !! It says that he listened , but not that he voted like they wanted him to,he also attended the meeting of the PLP and listened there, but guess what, he didnt vote the way the majority of the PLP wanted either ! He did vote the way the PM, F Sec, NSA Sec of state for ID wanted though !
I agree with all you have wrote but it will never happen. We are in Syria due to a proposed gas pipeline to Europe that goes through Syria. It will never happen because Assad is in bed with Russia, who know that if that pipeline happens, Europe doesn't need its own therefore cutting off its economic strength as noboby else will need the Gazproms anymore (Russia has nothing else to export apart from Vodka and Hookers). The US and the Nato countries caused this vacuum in the middle east on purpose. The issue is Russia have got involved in the battle and are backing Assad, as they know that they can't allow him to fall and the US put their own person in who will ok the pipeline. ISIS are a sideshow to whats really happening. Only yesterday Russia posted pictures of the Oil runs from ISIS to Turkey. The ones that the US havent been able to find in over a year. The day after, the US dropped leaflets on the runs to say stop or we will blow you up, in theory telling them to find other routes. Whilst all this is going off Iraqis who are fighting ISIS are videoing the US dropping equipment to ISIS fighters. ISIS arent the enemy, they are being used to dethrone Assad, but also being used as the bad guys in a redicilous political venture for money and power. I'm not saying ISIS arent bad, but they arent the most evil in all this. Assad has killed 180k people in Syria Vs 2k by ISIS. We can't bomb Assad because Russia would start WW3. I dont mean this to be callous but its posturing by the worlds superpowers, and we are using sections of religious groups as pawns to to send propaganda to us all and cover up the real reason we are there. Our foreign policy since WW2 has been horrific, but the last 20 years in particular is illegal, immoral and greedy. We caused it, by creating a bad guy that never should have existed, but it did because the Govts and Nato countries went all hollywood on the world.
Interesting post. I'd like to know how much of that is nailed on true & how much is suspicion. I've been saying for ages I don't want us involved because you've got American's supporting Kurds, Turks supporting rebels & Russians supporting Assad with ISIS thrown into the mix. If you take ISIS out of the equation there's even more of a dangerous civil war with extra land to fight over.
Some of it is what I've found from diving into Anonymous posts and the like. I've taken a keen liking to no longer listening to our media outlets or whats in the US. I'd heard about the gas pipeline a few months ago. The Russia part about finding the Gas/Oil routes to Turkey is 100% guaranteed, Ive watched the entire press conference with presentation/picture evidence from the Russian Foreign minister. This was on Tuesday, I've then followed up by watching news clips from around the world, which shows evidence that the US is delivering leaflets and equipment to ISIS fighters. I've never been a conspiracy theorist, neither do I want to be, I just hate propaganda, and I think we've been fed it for years, we were always told about how Russia does it to its people, now I think all governments do it on pretty much every point and when you read between the lines you can see the innacuracies. I watched the news fleetingly earlier about the shooting in the US. All the reader kept saying was potential terrorist, if not domestic terrorist. If it was a white guy, none of those terms would have been used. The world is ******. We are only told what we want to hear.
I've just been reading up on the oil routes. Fascinating stuff With the way we're going it'll be Cold War part 2. The Turks can pretty much get away with anything because they're a base for the US troops. They got away with Cyprus, they get away with treating the Kurds badly, they get away with letting ISIS through its borders & now they're getting away with smuggling oil from ISIS
Dugher sent an email to party members last night stating why he voted for bombing. I sent one back saying that if he felt so strongly he should resign he seat seek both re-selection and re- election, but as he's a career politician with him and his family riding the gravy train I doubt he'll have the integrity to even have any convictions never mind stand by them.
For me turkey and a fair number of its population are closer in terms of suppport for IS than the mainstream press would have you believe.
