Do those in the anti LJ camp ( my mate Dr Z included!) criticise BFC manager/players etc to the supporters of other clubs or do they keep their criticism in house. And do they encourage criticism about BFC from supporters of other clubs? Bit like your own children - o.k. for you to grumble about them but no one dare do so.
If mates who support other clubs ask me - I tell them that Johnno is the worst manager we have ever had.
Your a lovely man Mr Dustani! To answer your question yes I criticize us if i'm speaking to fans of other clubs but I don't encourage them to criticize BFC. If they want to do that its up to them
He's a likeable guy, I want him to suceed... When he arrived he assessed the existing squad, went back to basics, and as a result we saw organised workmanlike performances. Polar opposite this season. Unorganised, demotivated, Unsettled, no plan B, to many changes to formation and team selections, he doesn't appear to know his best team, and recent failure to get results its hard to justify his position! In other words, although many people may still will him to do well. We cannot see him see him doing so!
In my opinion LJ didn't alter much from when he took over from Burton and co. Only when he started to put his own stamp on the tactics did it go pear shaped. Let face it, he's done nothing since the 4 games after taking over. Not seen the same fight in the team since, apart from the Everton game. Time to go.
Those first 4 games were as dull and boring as any, regardless of result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It'd just paper over huge gaping cracks we all know are there. Only one way to fully sort this out, changing manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, this for me too. Even the Germans are taking great delight in his failings as a manager this season.
So if he turned things around,we finish comfortable up the league and maybe a Wembley final you would still want him out.
A Wembley final/appearance in the FA Cup or League Cup would be a tremendous achievement, but the Paint Trophy? It doesn't get my juices flowing, nor does it sway me towards Johnson staying.
But it ends up being like when a club appoints a manager not of there choice they want them to fail so they can say "I told you so".The season has been a disaster so far but nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see the manager and team turn things round. Surely that's what we all strive for.
I want to be proud of supporting Barnsley, if Lee Johnson can make this happen then I will be happy. I'm just not convinced he can.
Never gunna happen but yeh I would. Too many characteristics I've seen in him that make me wholeheartedly believe he will never be a good manager and the fact he hasnt been able to turn this run around in over 2 months so far proves my instincts correct. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On reflection Simon Davey did a pretty good job! IMHO none of his predecessors have improved us since he left... And IMHO he didn't improve us from Andy Ritchie's reign... So essentially we have gone backwards and continue to do so... Mark Robins came in and did a job and gave us shape and character but his reign was cut short! I seem to remember budget was cut but yet those that followed (hill/flicker) seemed to splash to cash on quantity rather than quality.
Robins improved us, he came in and made us hard to beat first and foremost with one or two quality players in our side. People say he was boring but IMO he made the best of the players and budget he had available, he adapted to what he had which is exactly the thing LJ cant do. He expects the players to adapt to his putrid tactics and formations which dont suit a lot of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
