We were one point ahead Leicester too... Which means that we should be at the top of the Premier League right now. JOHNSON OUT!!!
We also had a midfield consisting of Jacob Butterfield, Danny Drinkwater, an in form Jim O'Brien and David Perkins, and Ricardo Vaz Te and Craig Davies up front who'd got 20 goals between them. 3 of the midfield 4 got injured and Drinkwater and Vaz Te left and we stayed up by the skin of our teeth. Davies scored once more in the remainder of the season. Maybe Keith should have been more shrewd in th January window that year, but he dd suffer rotten luck losing O'Brien, Perkins and Butterfield for the majority of the 2nd half of the season. Sadly his performance after that never improved and it's a contributing factor to where we are now. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Didn't we then lose heavily at home to Leicester (2-5 or 3-5?) A win would have put us into the play offs but we lost and began a rapid slide down the table and Keith thought we were all cnuts.
Good Morning Mr Tatty. How's the old marriage lark going fella ? 1st chrimbo coming up exiting times for you both!
We were 2-0 up against Ipswich at home, it was a Sky game, we'd have gone into the playoffs had we won and made it five consecutive wins. Second half Ipswich bullied us, scored every time they had a shot and ran out 5-3 winners.
Not really, we still fared ok for a while. The wins over Leeds, Leicester and Derby. But once we were robbed of practically most of our team, for differing reasons, we plummeted down the table in what was probably as bad a spell watching BFC as the one we've just experienced under LJ.
4 weeks in and still going strong Me missus and step daughters got trimmed up Friday after visiting Leeds German market. Life's good.
That Ipswich game was barmy. Some of the best football I've seen us play this century in the first half
I think you're thinking of the Ipswich game at home that we lost 5-3. I believe we carried on for a few weeks, (beating Leeds on NYE then Leicester away) before losing everyone barring Davies in our midfield and attack. Then Keith called us all cvnts
