    As yet, the old folk and their families haven't been informed of the closure. Which is why I won't name the Home, as I think that'd be both inappropriate and irresponsible.

    She really loves the job of carer, Allen. I suppose having to look after me all our married life was perfect training.

    There isn't a good time of year for this sort of thing to happen but it always seems to hit hardest right now.... it happened to me about 20 years ago.

    Hard to believe that the old folk and their families have yet to be informed. What kind of outfit has been running that home.

    TBH the home's management are the ones being irresponsible and acting in a very inappropriate manner.

    Update.
    The home is to close this week, with the last resident expected to be moved on Thursday. Four of the staff (including Crystal) are working to care for the remaining elderly women. Unfortunately, the owner has informed them they won't be paid any wages.
    However, Crystal had an interview this morning at another care home and, because of how well it went, she's been offered the job of senior carer starting next week.
    Can I take this opportunity to once more thank everyone who has sent their best wishes and offers of advice. It really did help when we as a family were so low.
