    I don't like Utd, but Liverpool losing to Newcastle after all the scousers started get delusions about winning the league was funnier.

    I usually like to see the english sides do well in Europe but I've gotta say, I really hope we lose the 4th CL spot. Too many teams are just happy to get 4th these days.

    A few years ago I actually would have been Gutted. I grew up as a man Utd fan due to may dad and his brothers all being fans. I went to loads of man Utd games before I ever stepped foot in Oakwell. I do call Barnsley my first team now as I have followed them since I was 16.

    But tonights result and united recent failures just haven't bothered me and its the same with Barnsley to some extent. Not sure why, Footy results Just dont seem effect me like they used to.

    I know where you're coming from Andy; outside of Barnsley I couldn't care less anymore. I happened to end up watching about twenty minutes of match of the day on Saturday and I realised just out of touch I am now - I didn't recognise or know the name of most of the players.

    Mr. reeve, I for one want every team to do well in Europe, it's a national thing, us against the rest. But if you are one who supposedly hates other clubs, then you must also hate the England national team as its made up of these same players, so to be clear, you don't want English clubs to do well in Europe and it follows that you won't support England in the World Cup or the European championships.

    no Mr D Ubaityke.....I dont like MANURE this is true howver i always want England to win tournies and used to take it badly....these days when England get knocked out i shrug my shoulders and thats it....seen it all before. However i do want England to win but i would be quite happy if Man Utd joined up wi Sheff Wednesday, called themselves ManchesterWendy and then proceeded to go bust and were never to be seen again.

    The Commode Sensation is a Liverpool fan...best to ignore.

    I consider myself to be a massive England fan but I too enjoy watching our "elite" suffer in Europe. Nowt to do with players or fans of these clubs, But the obscene way their owners and the Premiership are systematically destroying clubs like BFC. Glad United are out and will piss myself if Arsenal and Chelsea follow them tonight.

    To be fair, that's the one thing I hated about watching England at Wembley. Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney were constantly booed by people around me because they didn't play for their club. Morons.
