You reckon ? Although attention for our poor season has spread beyond the dugout, so depends how that is received in the corridors of biscuits.
Colchester have conceded 49 goals in 20 games (2.45 per game) and us 34 (1.7 per game). We score slightly less than Colchester, both teams just over 1 per game. As Colchester are at home, I'd say 2-2 but lets hope we can sneak it 2-1.
I don't know any more than anyone else, it's just a guess. But for me, that facebook post from Mr Cryne where he claimed that Johnson was 100% solely responsible for the identification and signing of players shifted responsibility away from the board and heaped it all on the shoulders of the manager. In my opinion in preparation of sacking him should the (slightly) improved form not continue. But, I could be completely wrong, it's only my opinion. I wouldn't sack Johnson if we lost. I don't think the board should. However, they have shown more patience than they usually do this time around, there is pressure from a lot of fans to do it, so I wouldn't necessarily be angry with them if they pulled the trigger. It might be the right move, I dunno. If form doesn't pick up, it's inevitable. As for the result. I've no more clue than someone who has never even seen us play.
Well I think we've picked up in performances and application last few weeks. A team that's given up, or is as bad as is made out on here doesn't keep battling and equalises in the 95th minute (then creates a chance to win it) like we did v Sheff Utd. But wtfdik
Race into a 3-0 lead by the hour mark...then we'll sit back and concede one but hang on desperately...Thus pleasing happy clappers and whiners alike.
I agree with all that which is why I don't think we should sack him and why I hope the board don't. There's some ballacks about revolution from Karl Marx or some such that states it's far more likely to happen after an upturn in fortunes and then a dip back down to how bad it used to be, rather than a steady decline and it always being *****. It's not a great stretch to transfer that theory to sacking football managers. Karl Marx to Lee Johnson in one step. Beat that. Hopefully we'll win and it won't even be an issue.
Literally no idea. On one hand we have Hammill and he has the ability to single-handedly win us the game. On the other hand it's been a shocking season and I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if we lose 2-0. Exciting isn't it.
We'll win today. We've got the individual qualities of Hammill & Hourihane & there'll be some confidence from getting past Wigan. Johnson finally using some logic & sticking with the same team will also help
