    For those of us of a certain age we will remember him as the face of football on Match Of the day - no pundits just Jimmy and the games..RIP

    quality presenter in his day, probably wouldn't get on in this era
    did a lot in getting shut of the minimum wage too.
    always remember him reducing that blackburn ball-girl tears blaming her for throwing the ball back to a liverpool laiker too quick

    I reckon you meant to say "maximum wage" there not "minimum wage"

    Reading back to those times, its ridiculous, clubs truly owned the players arses in those days

    Sorry to hear the news today. Jimmy did a lot for players rights in the 60's.

    He was the voice of football for many a year.

    But being a Scot....We hated Jimmy Hill, He was a poof, He was a poof. ;)
