    Re: What happened?

Sorry mate,m if you have only been 3 times then you cannot possibly say that things have been much worse!
At times the fayre on offer this season has been as bad if not worse than any offered up by McSeverney et al !!`

    Re: What happened?

How do you know what the fayre on offer is if you haven't gone? That's like me saying that Elton John was out of tune in his last concert and he really didn't perform well enough to deserve the entrance fee. I didn't go like but he might have been out of tune.

He may well hate Leeds etc, but he needs to reign in his temper. I cannot for the life of me understand how some on here are defending him because he is our best player and they dont want him upset!! In any job other than football, if a worker said anything to a customer, then they would be sacked, no matter what the provocation was. Yet in football it seems it is ok to be a ****** , not just Hamill here, but footballers in general.

    Re: What happened?

I was sat in that corner , I had to sit with my son and his cousin and listen to nearly every swear word imaginable to man being spouted , my son said who did some videos on his phone , said he would have to beep out all the swear words , young kids about and it was unreal, so I reckon that hammill could have been subject to abuse, because if your going to f and blind infront of kids you wont mind doing it to a player, cant say for sure but makes me sad , my son said why are they all swearing, I said people are just upset and forget you kids are here ,maybe we should be in kids bit, but they like ponty end ,oh well lets hope we win some soon to improve the mood

And it seems the customer is always right... yes ?

I couldn't give 2 shits where I work if a customer gave me grief and it wasn't down to me they get it back

A team is more than one person. And if the rest of that team don't pull weight. He has every right to throw it back

    Correct Mark.

And just to clarify, my mate did not abuse Hammill or anyone else for that matter. Unless "what're you f-ing clapping for? Get off" is abuse.

    BTW

Having seen the 2nd goal again.

I like nyatanga. But he wouldn't play a game for me again.

    That was inexcusable

It's uncalled for. He's come over to show his appreciation to those supporting him and your mate (who I know, who I like, a proper good lad) tells him that? I think Adam would have been better off ignoring it, but he's human and makes mistakes. I think your mate made a mistake too. **** happens.

What did Adam respond with, pal? Genuine question because it must have been bad considering the hammering you gave him on here last night.

Do the fans not need to reign in their temper? Under what circumstances is it ever acceptable to hurl abuse and swear at anyone?

Obviously the assault on a paramedic was disagraceful. No excuse and many would say that he got away lightly in the courts.

However, on Saturday he returned words/ abuse to certain fans and gesticulated in their direction. I didn't see him assault anybody and it seems to me that, as seems to happen regularly on this board, some have greatly over-reacted.

Just my opinion based on what I witnessed from the Ponte.

    So what we've established then.....

"True" reds fan shout and swears at our best player, he thinks he's allowed to because he's a true fan of course
Our best player tells him quite rightly to do one
"True" reds fan and mate starts crying and bairning

For fcuks sake man up. Is he really going to ring the club to "clear the air" ?? I'd be pissing myself if he rang me. Sort yourself out and stop being a ******* pillock would be amongst the things I'd reply with.

Can't agree more Blivy, it seems to be more acceptable now than ever before that we can abuse others at the drop of a hat, be it on the road or at the football ground..whether it's something to do with a generation who can hide behind the computer screen and dish out vicious stick, or behind the touchline or through the car window and then drive away without consequences...not nice at all.

Andy, we had just been subjected to yet another abject performance from the worst team and manager we have ever seen. Emotions are running high and things get said in the heat of the moment. Players should be aware it could happen and know they might have to deal with it. That's the nature of the job.

He said "why don't you support your ****ing team?" Which is a bit rich really because he will be off as soon as he gets a better offer. It was the way he ran over in a very aggressive and confrontational and it's obvious he has anger issues. It's clear to some of the half wits on here that footballers are some sort of demigods who can do no wrong. Not for me.

right. that's it? i have to say, based on some of the abuse you came out with yesterday, i was expecting it to be much worse than that. it sounds to me like your mate was being a bit of a bell, and got some back. hammill shouldn't have reacted in any way really, but passion runs both ways in the heat of the moment. i'm not sure i'd be making that call to the club, if that's actually what happened.

Nonsense... What gives the supporters the right to verbally abuse a player? If you can't take it don't give it, end of.
