Hope the powers that be see this and do something about the admission price. £18 for my 11yr old daughter to get in is shocking. I know its a fiver if you get them in advance but it should be anyway ,especially were struggling in the old 3rd division. Apart from our league position, no wonder we cant get the fans back.
I paid 5er earlier on in season when I took my daughter think they made a mistake there did sit in family area with her though
We're in the old west stand! This is our next geneation of fans and their not helping things by charging that amount.
Don't think that's it.. Paying young men stupid wages will only end up with one out come. And one of the reasons a fans takeover would never, ever work
This. ^^^ How can a club hope to improve when they actively price out the next generation of fans? Priorities all wrong.
Would like to know which individual at Oakwell decides the pricing policy, and let's have them try and justify this stupidly hefty price for a child. E-mail the club with this, and let us know what response you get.
I am pal. My daughter has started supporting the reds this season and they'll just out price her from games. I dont work anyway due to health and charging that for 11yr old fan is bonkers
Disagree with the above cold unsympathetic response. You sound like a bundle of fun. It should be a fiver for a child at any time to promote a younger and lasting fan base.
Poor reply to the problem here. So you actively support the policy of over charging kids when they decide to attend a game at the last minute. I'd never hold it against any parent who refused to pay those prices and spend their money treating their kids at McDonalds instead. To me this policy is counter productive.
I'll save him the bother Dear Mr Russell We understand your concerns however... Blah blah blah competitively priced blahdy blahdy blah other alternatives waffle waffle waffle fleece away fans bullsh1t waffle bullsh1t jump through hoops crap waffle crap not our fault blah blah blah your fault Signed A totally fictitious person
No. Like any other fan there is the chance to pick up tickets before the day at a discounted price. If you don't take advantage of it DON'T blame the club. ..
As Fred Pontin said....book early!!! Plus as you don't work, why didn't you get one pre match. You must realise, bfc won't try and help the fans who keep the club going. They don't give a fek and just want your money. Time you realised pal that Jokewell is a well earned nickname. Hth
I'm struggling to see your point mate. We are Barnsley and if I'm not mistaken not awash with money and there are no queues for season tickets. So every penny taken at the gate is priceless. But you advocate a system which penalises the occasional fan by charging moer. Not everyone can arrange their lives to suit early purchase of a ticket. To me to charge extra to these people just encourages them to do something else with their money. We should be pricing games on affordability and not charging the earth for those who choose to pay on the day. Of course this is just my opinion but if I heard the game was £10 but on the day was charged £20 I'm afraid I'd be happier to spend that extra 10er in the pub.
Not come on here for a argument, just stating its stupid charging that for kids. Not everyone can afford to pay early, i go when i can afford to.
We ordered 2 tickets for under 12 and an adult ticket online at 12.30 today on a mobile phone travelling down from Newcastle - £36 for the lot. £5 each for the little ones. jOined the box office queue at 2.40 and someone called 'Sue' came along the line giving out preordered tickets, gave us ours in an envelope within a minute or two, so we didn't even have to wait. Had a brilliant afternoon which went like clockwork for us. It's well worth booking online and really not that difficult
