Digby Joins Ipswich on Loan - More from the official site... 02-01-2016 12:22 PM
So he can play for England and Ipswich, but he can`t play for Barnsley, and people wonder why we are near the bottom of the 3rd Division
Bene bang average when he's had the chance for us. Good luck to him and i hope he becomes a great midfielder. Shame injuries have had a set back on his career.
Macca as much as his love for us is. Has never done a favour to us. Pinch our better players yes. But never done us a favour. Happy to be corrected like
They must have a pre determined fee for the end of the season then, should they decide he's any good?
Good luck to the lad. Be interesting to see how it works out can't see him getting much first team game time
Macca is a manager chasing promotion to the premier league and as much as he likes us he's not in the 'favours' business. He clearly see's something in Digby, something that we haven't seen, and thinks he has the potential to be a good player. It's a loan so if it doesn't work out then he'll send him back.
cant for the life of me see why people are moaning. well i can because they always do but hey he's not getting in our team,if he goes to Ipswich and has a stormer we get a ton of cash fo selling him, or he has a stormer and he comes back to us to play he may do neither of course and its no loss, he isnt getting in our team
But if Mick sees him as a prospect but can't judge with the league he's in so takes him to Ipswich to test him then surely its a favour ish . There's other players in Digbys boat but he chose him .I know he knows his potential but the gamble is taken with a hint of its Barnsley.imo. Trying to put it over better but I haven't jays skill
Baffling that teams, managers, scouts and coaches above us in the pyramid rate a player more than fans who are consistently wrong about players and their abilities?
The reason Digby is highly rated is that technically he's very good, great range of passing, apart from his last appearance he's also shown good leadership skills & is always talking to the players around him & is a good organiser, he's also a big strong lad & solid in the air as shown last season against Walsall. And the big thing in his favour is that his flaw's are confidence & sharpness which are two of the easiest things to sort out with a run of games & a manager who shows belief in you. I've personally not been impressed at what I've seen of Digby so far but I can see why people rate him. It's a lot harder to boost someone's passing / reading of a game etc than it is to boost confidence & fitness.
