Is he injured? Been dropped? Still Alive?

After decent season last year, the lad hasn't been at his best this time around. Back to winning ways without him. If dropped are we planning to move him on?

Got to say another player who's confidence rocked by LJ. Announced as our new club captain, then Alfie got the armband?

Club captain and team captain are normally not the same anyway ...

Thought he was a weak link before Johnson came. He was always the defender that was most uncomfortable with the ball.

I just don't think he's stepped up. Johnson kept bigging him up to be some sort of leader but he's one of the quietest centre backs I've ever seen.

I never see him shouting at folk & organising which is what you'd have thought he should be doing with the way Johnson spoke about him

Did OK when we played 3 centre backs as usually one of the 3 covered for each other's mistakes. Was rubbish when we went 442 but that applies to all 3 of them whoever played there.

I think that is because he is more suited to a left back role than centre half. Completely the opposite to what most think on here.

Dis-agree.......he is comfortable on the ball but he isn't comfortable without it........in other words, he isn't a defender

He wasn't good last season even.

Scored a few goals which papered over the cracks.

People were just too focused on Mvoto to notice how bad Nyatanga was.
