We've probably offered him 100 quid a week

Probably just trying to say he's living his dream?

Playing football that is, not playing for Barnsley

He's suddenly started tweeting about Barnsley again this past couple of weeks. It's almost as if he's trying to win people over

If Wabara doesn't sign it wouldn't be such a great loss as he's not a great player. But the last thing we need at this time is to be looking to fill yet another position. We're already short in midfield and up front, we don't want to be having to look for a right back too. With such slim pickings available for free in January and inflated prices for those in contract, there's every chance we could end up with someone worse or pay too much money for a player who is no better. With that in mind, I really hope he signs as even though he isn't brilliant he can do a job.

No brainer for me. He's a steady Eddie. Settled in now. Knows the club. For what's on offer this Jan we could sign 2-3 players in his position and probably not get anyone better. We've got to realise our position and the market. I'd make sure he's retained.

Hope he signs, done well in the last couple of games. Better than a Steady Eddie if he can keep that up.

That's what crossed my mind when I read it.

Just hope Ben Pearson is having the same thoughts.

He got dogs abuse after we lost to Wigan at home which was nasty and well over the top, hence the nature of his tweets now I guess

When asked if we tried to get Pearson, Patrick said something about the main issue being that the player has to want to come and that they need to 'feel the love'.

Wabara is a lot better footballer than people on here give him credit for.

No suprise that the same folk big up defend George Smith to the hilts.

I can gurantee that Reece Wabara will achieve a lot more in footballer than Smith.

Good league one player and I hope he signs on.

I think that's the issue. We can see he's a good footballer, we could see it in August but we're wondering where it's been for 3 months until the last fortnight?

Smith doesn't have the ability of Wabara & he's young learning his game & was also our only left back at the time so couldn't be dropped so what's the point in getting on his back?

When Wabara was performing poorer than we know he can James Bree was sat on the bench

Wabara looked poor because he was under pressure to do all our attacking down the right flank due to Smiths inability to get forward on the left.

It's no coincidence he's looked a better player since White and Hammill have come in. He can now focus a lot more on his defensive game.
