Shame the game didn't match the quality of support today.

Great attendance and almost non-stop singing throughout. Well done the Ponty end.
Central midfielder needed ASAP. Don't want to be harsh on Abbott as it was his first full 90 mins for us this season, but much of the game seemed to pass him by today.
Still 1-1 all to play for. I expect a very different game at their place.

Typical Barnsley, we put on an offer and attract fans back, then play **** reminding them why they stay away in the first place.

Today proves that the people of Barnsley are prepared to provide the club adequate support.

The missing link is the club's failure to provide a good product. Theres nothing else to it.

It's always been the same Sam.
The supporters come back and they fail to deliver.

Surely all it proves is that football is price elastic for some people. Keep prices low and more people buy. Just basic economics I think.

Maybe your going abit ott we missed Pearson we needed a like for like midfielder to take his place Abbott looked like a fish out of water. Admittedly he hasn't played for months. But we should have replaced Pearson and played 442 we are still in it but need a center mid asap.

My point was that the fanbase is there. Supply the product and the numbers will turn up.

The product has been consistently poor for 9 years.

If we were in the premier we could charge £30 a ticket and fill the ground. So although price is obviously a key factor, people still expect an intrinsic value and return on their 'investment'.
