Johnson talked about plans that we would have a footballing philosophy where the same systems would be introduced from first team to youth teams enabling younger players to be able to slot straight into a specific position and a settled team. We have the total opposite and a raft of players in/out here for 28 days or so, players brought in and then not given a chance. I would really like to know what the plan is because I really can't see him building anything of substance and is just plugging gaps week by week. I'm baffled what's going on with him.
Fair question. Get yourself off to the next QA session and ask him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is no long term plan in building a successful team. The strategy is to recruit young players from the lower leagues who we can sell on for profit & to supplement the squad with loans to keep costs down.
Agreed.............a very inexperienced coach,,,,,,,,,,who, may one day be good. He has not delivered so far.
Think the long term plan may have been hurriedly put to one side for a bit until we get some points on the board!
Nonsense this can't be his Ideal situation the Board have an awful lot to answer for if it wasn't for his pay off he'd be gone which you can't really blame him for hanging around at the end of the day he's got a young family to protect. Do you really think Johnson's being backed with an owner that really wants out no financial backing or long term commitments to player contracts and transfer fees hence all the loan signings. I can only think of one player Lee Johnson wanted to really sign and that was Connor Wilkinson which was and would have been a long term mistake I think the rest of the signings are 3rd choice scraps and the Board are saying you must work with this try you best etc etc. The one thing I think Johnson can't see is in game changes it's his biggest downfall not changing the Team in the matches when it's clearly needed and seen by most of the Fans at the games. I think he's just another Manager who's the Scapegoat for the Board my opinion obviously. I think the reason we struggle to get quality , experienced managers especially at this level is that they would not work under these circumstances as they don't want to tarnish the reputations they built. I think Johnson's is in danger of damaging is long term managerial career by staying and working under these MP style muppets , This Board is a Joke I wish fans could see this for what it is the Manager could be Pep Guardiola and he would struggle with these restrictions from Board Level.
It's a fair question HR but perhaps one that should be asked of PC and Ben rather than LJ. I don't rate Lee, I think his record here and at Oldham suggest he's bang average at best and I believe we will not progress under him but I don't blame him for this mess. I don't think 'inexperience' can be attributed to his failings either; I really don't class him as inexperienced.
What were your highlights/ what would you have said he could have done better based on what you saw at yesterdays game?
like you'd get a straight answer.......waste a time. I don't want talk, I want results.....and we aint had many of them have we! hth
