I know we've had a disappointing season so far but after 2 entertaining league wins and a very decent draw against opponents who like us want to get to Wembley the knives are out for L.J again.Does this mean that after any future game we don't win we have to endure the execution squad on this board? If that's the case it seems some of you don't want the manager to succeed at any cost.Quite sad really.

    I dont get it either.

We weren't that bad at all.

They cleared a shot off the line from Hourihane and Williams couldn't hit a barn door on the day.

Winnall had a shocker which effected us badly.

Other than that it wasn't that bad at all really.

I think that's exactly what it means.

After the 8 league defeats on the bounce the criticism was justified. I didn't agree with a lot of it, but it was justified. We've now lost just 3 of the last 11 games. 1 of the last 7. We're out of the relegation zone, still have an excellent chance of getting to Wembley, we've seen two excellent performances in recent weeks and even though we didn't play well on Saturday at least they rolled up their sleeves and battled in the second half, came away with a draw and gave us a very good chance of progressing. The criticism on this forum over the weekend was just ridiculous.

LJ should beat Dannys points tally at the time of his sacking too.

If he doesn't it means we've hit a bad run again I think he'll be rightly sacked.

There has been an improvement of late which has been most welcome.

Looking at the long term picture though Johnson isn't the man to lead us forward hence folk wanting rid.

    Why prolong the inevitable?

When PC goes i'm sure Johnson won't be far behind

I think with some on here - not all critics of LJ by any means - that it's more important that he fails so they are proved right than for him to turn it round and do well.

I enjoyed ,the blackpool game, the millwall game our fans helped us win, we cheered every tackle, every pass, mis- placed or good,we put pressure on millwall players ,but on Saturday we just put pressure on our own players, moaning and groaning, the lads in top end of ponty deserve medals, singing for 90 mins, the new fans who turned up, didn't improve the atmosphere one bit ,around me I was sat with 2 young kids, "get off your f'ing $hit, your wnak, etc , etc ,made me feel quite sad, not just because it does no good ,but think do I want my kids listening to it

I have been on the forum over the weekend and everyone knows thereev wants shut of the 'Ant or Dec of Barnsley' duo.

However I did not overly over egg the point after the game. I left that to others who have as you say had a right go regarding Mr Johnson.

It appears it is not just the good Dr and I who want rid.

thereev however has accepted that he is staying for a while longer (wrongly imo) due to the circumstances down at the 'well (that's as diplomatic as I can put it!), so that's why I have tempered my criticism slightly because he ain't going nowhere currently.

the language goes way over the top where thereev sits with his kids in the West Stand....I guess it is far worse in the ponty etc.

Not very well educated young(or old) fellows or just plain ignorant would be my guess

To be fair you did say it was inevitable he'd be sacked before the improved run we've been on. Although to your credit you've been fairly measured with your praise too. Some aren't so....

He should have been in fairness. Rumours of him of losing the dressing room are well wide of the mark though.

The last 2 games i have witnessed have been very entertaining but that's more down to the players than Johnson.

I think a lot of it was frustration saturday.

The previous nine games weve played a very attack minded 442 as johnsons hand was forced.

And the results speak for themselves.

Saturday he reverted to type. Playing 441. God knows what Williams role was.

tbf had Watkins been fit the only change would have been who to replace Pearson with.

    ^^^this^^^

The dust is settled now. Johnson is in place and deserves our support hopefully we will be injury free so he can't chuff about with the team too much and a central midfielder will arrive soon to plug the Big Pearson shaped gap.

I did feel a bit sorry for LJ that our loan'policy' bit him in the ass in front of a big crowd with a major part of his team ripped out before a big game.

had a group of 5 lads sat behind me who hadnt been for 5 years, constantly talking about other teams scoring and how there acca was doing. not even bothered about the game going on in front of them. each to their own and all that but i think they could have sved a fiver and sat in the pub and done the same!

he didnt play 451 or 4411. it was 442 it wasnt LJ's fault williams wasnt very good in front of goal, on another day he might score twice and we'd all be saying what a master stroke it was..... maybe :)

The guy doesn't stand a chance really, does he? When we're $hit, it's LJs fault and he should be executed at dawn. When we're good, it's because of the players, not LJ.

Not sure I agree. We lost Marley and Pearson. From what I saw, Abbott and Williams were straight swaps. Mebbi Williams played a touch deeper, but his movement was good, he looked OK on the ball and got into great positions. He scuffed a few, but that's down to sharpness surely? He hasn't played for 12 months and still had a better game than Sam Winnall, IMO..
