Looks delighted in his photo. Looks more like a fan on a stadium tour. I'm sure we probably tried to sign him and that the reported 100k fee wasn't a problem. More that PNE are a league above and will have also been able to offer him better money. I wish we'd given one of our own like Abbott 50 games in such a short space of time to improve as a player. If he felt unloved at BFC then didums.

Absolute bargain for £100,000 - shame we couldn't get him, hope we tried.

    What a signing that is.

100K for a Championship player is a steal.

    Good luck to him.

Nice to see our 'try before you buy' policy paying dividends.

I'm guessing we wanted to buy but he's opted for championship football which in turn will bring better wages plus closer to home for him, can't really blame him, good luck to him

This is something that pisses me off no end. We have given him his first 50+ games in professional football and then another team swoops in. I'm not annoyed that he didn't join us, what pisses me off is that we waited so long in making it permanent and didn't give our own enough games while he was here. He is better than the likes of Digby and Abbott but whenever he was fit he played when it should of been a rotation policy of giving all 3 games not just developing another teams player and now ours are under developed and getting stick.

Something seriously wrong with our club. We had better make some good signings this window or i'm fearing the worst.

    100k isn't a steal it's his worth.

Average league one player with room to improve due to his age & lack of experience.

All the talk of Bournemouth for £1m plus was nonsense drummed up by agents.

Standards have seriously dipped down at Oakwell if people are thinking Pearson's 'quality' or 'a steal at 100k'.

    It's the food chain.
Even if we matched the fee, we can't match the wages or league.
We do it to League 2 players, Preston do it to us, and the Premier league will do it to them.

I listened to Mr Mansford the other night ont radio and he said that Pearson wasn't likely to sign cos he still had dreams of playing for Man Ure....then hey presto(n)he signs for PNE!

either a sudden change of mind from Pearson or more (fill in the blank)_________ from Mr Mansford ?

How anyone can think 100k is a steal for him is beyond me. Man Utd should be laughing their socks off.

Spot on, if we didn't at least try to get him permanently in the summer then what was the point him getting him back.

You prove time and time again you know nothing about football.

Very good league one player who will comfortably become a very good championship player.

The lads got everything how can you not see that.

But it's nothing to do with Ben Mansford, it's to do with Pearson, his agent and man Utd, I could understand your point more if he'd said he was signing for us then went to Preston but as I've stated earlier I'm guessing Pearson wanted championship football at the very least

He's easily worth 100k, if not more. I think he's potentially a good Championship laiker, but we'll see. They play Derby soon, who have some of the best midfielders in the division, I'll watch him with interest.

But I am pissed off that we've developed a loanee for the benefit of anybody but us. Again.

    Very good? Behave.

He's been part of a shocking team that's been in the relegation battle and isn't even one of our best players, see Hammill, Scowen & Hourihane.

He's been decent & should improve a fair bit considering his age.

You claim 'he's got everything' and then have the cheek to say I know nothing about football.

There's very few holding midfielders in the world who 'have everything',

If you want to see holding midfielders who have everything I'd suggest getting on YouTube & watching Alonso & Busquets.

If he had everything he wouldn't be joining Preston for £100k.
