love this Barnsley team, you can keep your old journeymen all day,give us some young lads who try their best, win lose or draw, we have never thrown it in all year,even in losing run, it was odd goal, look at the times we let 5 in over last few seasons and lots of them teams chucked it in
Partly agree. The young lads will have learnt a lot about that losing run. However we still need a couple of old heads in to continue the improvement. Great result today. Been a better couple of months. Recruitment still bonkers. But if the talent isn't available, or doesn't want to come to us, we can't blame that on Johnson.
yes agree we need a couple ,but the dross we signed ,older so called better players on loan who couldn't give a monkeys abart us, we filled the team with em and they never tried a yard lots of times
I said some time ago that sacking a manager (or managers) with young players can be detrimental to their development, especially in the short term, and that coming through that bad run and improving would do them the world of good individually and as a group. I hope this is the case and they can use that experience when things aren't so good again. Still lots of improvements, but it's good to see them playing decent stuff and winning.
You seem angrier now we're starting to pick up results than you were on the losing streak... Is everything alright?!
