Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery I agree - just never could join in as I was standing next to my dad Or on a more serious note - to the tune of Harlech Can you hear the Ponte roaring Ronnie glavins always scoring...etc
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery Some folk think that football's boring, Ronnie Glavin's always scoring, Can you here The Ponty roaring? Glavin is our king. Ah, the memories, Dave, the memories.
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery "Simon, Simon, Simon" at Simon Tracey. Always liked that. No idea why. The 'Yorkshire' chant at Huddersfield, both fans in unison, special moment that one. Watching Flicker that same day, dancing and singing along to the Bob Marley tune. Classic. "look where we are, look where we areeeeee, little old Barnsley, look where we are" after Keith's brilliant interview after being robbed at Blackburn. "we're walking a tightrope, with broken legs" at Spotland last season. "what's it like to be Barnsley, what's it like to be small? you sign rapists we signed Sam Winnall" at Bumhole Lane last season and only stopped singing it to cheer when he scored. Perfect. "Daniel League-one-ovic" as he walked on the pitch at half time, relegation party. Same afternoon, asking em when we might see them again, and the altered lyrics to their chip butty song.... "like the steel city derby, in the old third division, oh Sheffield United, you ****** up again". I could go on all night. It's threads like this that remind me we've had some great times.
chealsky "7-6, we're gonna win 7-6..." think it started at 0-5 darn and increased incrementally. The Ronnie Moore Hat song from Rovrum away first time round became a classic. We are Barnsley, super Barnsley from oakwell is still going round in my head (strange echo though) All time favesRonnie Glavin Magic song. oh and One song, you've only got one song to our porcine neighbours.
A pedant writes; wasn't it..... People say that football's boring? and Ronnie is our King?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not as I remember it, old mate. But then my memory is as holey as Swiss cheese, so you're probably right.
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery Simon Tracy was rumoured to be gay hence why it was in a slightly camp manner.
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery Sure me and thee sang it at him, 2001 or summat. Dint Bully score, at their place?
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery PADDY KENNY WHERE YOUR WIFE. don't sell McCourt Paddy McCourt I just don't think you understand That if you sell McCourt Paddy McCourt Your gonna have a riot on your hands
Re: Ronnie Moore's Miilinery "He's got a cortina parked outside" sang to Don Goodman warming up away at Wallsall. He had a big affro similar to the guy off the ads with the cortina. Di-****io when he had a mare at Oakwell Shove yer pink panthers up yer arse - Stoke City away 89ish FA cup Karl-Heinz Riedle having dambusters sung to him, home to Liverpool 97/98.
Red Army When we beat Ipswich 4-1 just before the FA Cup semi-final 2008. I went with my 2 lads despite it being a tuesday and 75 miles because we needed ticket stubs to get tickets for Wembley. We were 1-0 down but playing decently when the Ponty started singing "Red Army" with everyone standing. We just kept singing it all through the 2nd half and Howard bagged a Hat-Trick. Made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
