What the hell is happening on here ??? !!!!!!

I've been keeping tabs on whats been posted on this message board over the last couple of days and its increasingly looking surreal to me.

Firstly Gally.........what's all that about ???
Gally must realise that this message board enormously enhances the connection to Barnsley Football Club for all the fans that read it.
This message board is an important part of my life, and I live in Barnsley - so it must be even more important to people that have moved away from the town, especially to those that have moved abroad.
For that reason I will be forever grateful to Gally for setting up and maintaining this message board.
That's why every time I see Gally I offer to buy him a drink.
Keep up the good work !!!

I don't think there is anything at all wrong with this message board - OK, we have annoying posters such as 'thereev' but I never read his posts or contribute to his threads - I just ignore him.
Some might think he's a laugh.
Others might think (which I'm sure they do) that I'm an absolute pain in the butt.
If you don't want to read my thoughts on subjects..............don't read them.

As for the recent content of the board:
The principle reason there has been so many negative (as people put it) posts on this message board lately is because:

BARNSLEY FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE BEEN SHOCKINGLY POOR THIS SEASON.

And that's it - NOWT else.

If the club had been doing well then everything on here would be more or less rosy.
People such as myself, that don't post as much on here as they used to, are generally not annoyed at the message board or the people that post on it ........they are just mightily pissed off with everything associated with Barnsley Football Club at the moment.
As fans, Barnsley Football Club affects our lives - if the club is doing poorly then this has a detrimental effect on most of us.
We as fans cant just forget about the club losing week after week and anchored near the relegation zone.
That annoyance and frustration comes out when you meet fellow fans on the street - and it also comes out on this message board.
Once (if) the club starts to do well again then watch for the changes on here.

That's not to say that the message board shouldn't be policed - because it should.
But that policing shouldn't be targeted at those that criticise the club - surely everyone who endeavours to become a professional footballer, manager or owner of a football club knows that they are going into a arena where they will be open to high feelings.
In my view (and it is only my view) then that policing should be targeted at posters that just throw out personal abuse to fellow posters.
I should know, because of my 'often against the grain' opinions there cant be many on this message board that gets the amount of personal abuse that I get.

Even I am coming across as one of the sensible posters, the place is fecked.

 

Has the BBS become to Gally what Barnsley FC has become to Patrick Cryne?
