And will probably get it too. Peterborough are resigned to losing Conor Washington with 6 Championship clubs having made enquiries. But they have told interested clubs he won't be leaving for less than £5 million. Sheffield United have a bidding war for striker Che Adams with Southampton and at least 2 other Premier League clubs lining up bids. United have said he won't leave for less than £3.5 million. Both have less league goals than Sam Winnall this season.
thats what proper clubs do tho' they have the ****** to face up the clubs chasing and call the shots, not the other way round like at Oakwell.
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Maybe they have a CEO who knows the true value of players at his club
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Dint PC say we had been watching Adams, but dint act fast enough..
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Yep. A player flagged to those in the divisions above through the 'spreadsheet' system. We weren't brave enough/didn't act quickly enough.
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Looks like Peterborough have got not far off £5m off QPR for Washington. Chairman has tweeted that Newport have a 20% stake and will get close to seven figures. Peterborough certainly get their money's worth from a sale.
The thing is that a few blunts reckon Adams has been dogshit this season so fair play to them if they can get that sort of money for him.
Gillingham have turned down Bristol City's £1,000,000 bid for Bradley Dack. Thank chuff they're not coming after Hourihane with that price, we'd sell him...
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Rumoured to be 2-3 million, not sure where you've seen 5 million, although could mean by rising to £5 million.
The problem we have is, we never seem to get more than one club interested in a player. It's obvious that they're going to get a lot of money for a player if there's 6 interested. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Re: thats what proper clubs do tho' Local radio saying that although the fee for Washington is "undisclosed", Peterborough are getting £2.5 m for him from QPR.
It does make you wonder if we'd even manage to negotiate our way to £1m for Winnall if clubs became interested doesn't it. Our outgoing transfers is a total shambles
