He has only been an adult while Wilson and Johnson have been here and I'm not saying they have not it wrong or right, I have no idea but both of them have made a lot of poor decisions as Barnsley manager so it isn't unrealistic to suggest they may have got this wrong too.
You know what they say about Royal Mail ( it gets lost all the Fukin time ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Come on guys, he's from the same place as us give him a break. Yeah he's not delivered for us and yeah he isn't good enough for us. Might never be who knows but it can't do the lad any good when he just gets slated constantly. He will probably read this forum as well. Best thing about it is he didn't even commit the foul, his Polish centre half mate did.
Talking sense? He's just said digby isn't good enough for league one. It's hardly a vote of confidence for the lad.
I'm not saying I was talking sense. Our lass tells me enough times that I don't but I just don't think there's much to gain by people being really critical about him. He hasn't been good enough for us and 5 managers have probably been right but by the same logic are the opinions of the England U19 managers, Mick McCarthy and Warren Joyce at Man Utd any less than managers in the Championship/League One?
He may not be good enough. That's not my point. It's the apparent pleasure some people take from his perceived 'failure' that does my head in. And the absolute stupidity of blaming the lad himself. If he is spending his time in the boozer or something then he deserves to fritter his career away, but even his harshest critics have not made any such suggestion. And whatever happens, he'll still have achieved things that most of us can only dream of.
People are discussing one of our lads out on loan, that's all. And the official Ipswich twitter had him down as the lad who gave away the penalty, hence a few of us relaying that in this thread. That's not slating him. It turns out it wasn't he who gave away the penalty, that's great. I hoped he'd make it here. I was calling for him to be given a run of games. I now hope he makes it at Ipswich. But it's not been a great start for him unfortunately.
Keith Hill for all his faults was a pretty good judge of player(mido aside) and took RNL to Rochdale ahead if Digby . Also you would have thought Flicker would have took him on loan to Bury maybe, but they obviously don't rate him. Saying that I would love him to be a success and stick two fingers up to us .
Poor argument stating he could get into a struggling L1 side. When there is no logic to LJ team selections: Simeon Jackson - LJ's parting comment "match fit... Experienced... Top player with premiership movement and quality" but rarely featured for us. Mike Phenix - why sign him? Michael Smith - one of leader scorers in L1 last year, signed but not given a run of games. Brad Abbot - looked very promising pre season 2years ago and since then frozen out until we are desperate. G.Williams/Cowgill/Maris - are they still at the club. forgotten youngsters. Bree & Roberts - start the season well and get dropped. And our form dipped in their absence. Davies - Our No1 keeper another player dropped and replaced by IMHO weaker option. So Digby... Was he really given a fair chance at Oakwell, he hasn't had a run of games, and IMHO we haven't nutured and supported him or much of our academy lads in the right way.
