As people have astutely(!) pointed out, we don't need the following things:- Scoreboard - we can all keep score and check our watches Food - eat before the game Alcohol - get this in the pub TVs - you're not there to watch television Toilets - go before or hold it Rooves - bring appropriate clothing Seats - everyone without exception wants to stand Any kind of pleasant surroundings - you're only there 90 minutes Club shop - no one wants BFC merchandise Box office - do this online There are probably other things that we have that we don't actually need. Let's sell the ground, move to a field, build a wall around it and install some turnstiles. We would save a fortune. Can we get this put forward at the next meeting with Pat and Ben?
Lets hope we don't miss Linton Brown too much. I'm sure if we'd have got a brand new scoreboard he could have got it paid for with advertisements without the club spending a penny on it.
Can tell things are going well on the pitch. Perhaps if it's in your nature to be downbeat and negative it's all we can expect really. Pretty much reminds me of that James guy who rings Football Heaven.
Do we need turnstiles? Certainly would solve the problem of the price increase to pay on the day supporters. Sent from my I-Toaster using the internets
Personally, I think this is quite funny. No one is being singled out, it's not club bashing, and we have had most, if not all, those discussions on this forum before with many of those solutions put forward. It's laughing at ourselves which, imho, is the best kind of humour. I know I'm guilty of saying some of that stuff.
Glad someone else has noticed Linton has move on because we are certainly going to miss the revenues that he generated.
Did well to get him in the first place as he was at a bigger club in Dull. Dropping a league would have had much bigger consequences revenue wise if it wasn't for all the sponsorship deals he's brought in.
