34 aint he? **** knows Im not too fussed, the only thing I'm bothered about is that he's cost us a hell of a lot more points than he's gained for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
34 is a bit young compared to most football managers, but to be fair he's been in the game most of his life as player and now manager, he also has a father in football management so some of that should have rubbed off by now. No excuses there then, at that age most people are on top of their job anyway so I don't go along with the age thing. Also they surely wouldn't have signed him for 3 years if they thought he was too young. So no age excuse from our boards side. It's entirely the clubs fault for giving a manager with no pedigree a 3 year contract, irrespective of age, it was madness and now we are paying for that mistake.
Theres no excuses anyway. He knew the job he was taking on and he's big and stupid enough to tell us he's gunna give us the type of football weve never seen before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
but you could also say that substitution was at least 20 mins too late! I wanted him on at half time.
He ent even managed to get Winall to turn his head more by the look of the last showing. Very soon it'll be just like the back end of Davey's days - get every ball to Campbell-Rice, though in this case Hammill.
Add 3 more brilliant substitutions to this on Saturday. Rochdale score to make it 2-1. Johnson doesn't panic and let the team get set it to sitting back. He brings on another attacker and ask him to drive the game forward. Works with in minutes. Then he gets another assist later on. Marc Roberts on. Robbo comes on and keeps the pressure on a shakey Rochdale defence. Keeps launching balls into the box which eventually leads to another goal. 3 goals scored after his introduction. Scowen on to raise the atmosphere in Oakwell further. Johnson knew the introduction would lift the crowed and as a result the team. 3 goals scored after Scowy brought on.
You and me both. Could easily have been 2-2 on Saturday and a totally different feeling. Same away at Shrewsbury, could have been level at half time. We're playing really well and deserve praise, but all the things that were going against us during that run of defeats are now falling in our favour. We're making our own look mind by being more solid at the back and a joy to watch going forward. The last 20 minutes on Saturday was just unreal.
Its more that were playing a lot better than our luck as improved. The way we've been playing recently is good enough to beat anyone is this league.
I agree we can, but it's a combination of the two mate. Everything appeared to against us during that bad run, where performances and tactics were also questionable. As I said, we're making our own luck with the way we're playing. Long may it continue.
