Is he? Another in a long line of players I felt should have stayed a little longer- but can't really blame for going. It's a fact of life we lose lads to other clubs but there are so many (I think) that do pretty well here but move that little bit too soon.
I always thought he wasn't that great. With hindsight and the rubbish that came after him how wrong was I ! I seem to remember the general consensus was that we'd done ok to get £750 for him though and it would be alright
At the time thought it were a good bit of Business by the club and still do. We actually got money for a player dropping a division. Still not sure what we payed for him but am sure it was nowhere near what we received. I thought he were a steady away player, put some great crosses in, but defensively seemed to be at a loss to where he was meant to be at times.
That would have been after Keith got the sack, and before Stones moved to Everton, am I right? Very fleeting indeed. But bloody brilliant!
Agreed. Only Darren Barnard and Neil Thompson in the left back position better than him in my time watching us. Different tier completely to other left sided players like Gibbs, Kennedy, Donovan etc.
