No logical reason why he wasn't in the squad at Bradford. Maybe he's on his way out.

Johnson said in his post match interview that he's picked up another injury, but didn't go into any detail.

I am sure that it was mentioned in a tweet by Adam Oxley after the match on Tuesday "LJ confirmed Ryan Williams was out injured , didn't say any more about specifics #BarnsleyFC @footballheaven "

He's our version of Daniel Sturridge. There's being injured and having a bit of a knock. He needs to man up and get playing.

We can't tell him to man up if we don't know how serious whatever the injury is. Slight knock then yes he should man up. But maybe he's got a slight muscle tear then obviously he couldn't possibly play. Johnson should have been more specific though to avoid gossip.

Fair point, but its frustrating as he should have been the perfect replacement for Hammill on Tuesday night. I'm not convinced his heart's in it.

We could just try not gossiping and taking some responsibility for ourselves rather than blaming everyone else. You never know, it might work. It's worth a try.

There was a man called Richard Kell
He plied his trade down at Oakwell
But no one ever saw him play
His bones were bent and broke and gay

Richard Kell, prolific poet, but ****.

Edit: Forgot the most important part, the title: Ode to Richard Kell by Richard Kell

He is. After his first injury LJ said several times that he was physically fit but wasn't right mentally to play and we lost weeks of the season. I'd say it's definitely time to move him on.

I think patience is needed with Williams. When he was at the club last season, he was arguably our best player, alongside a fit and firing Winnall before he got injured. The fact he signed for us permanently after a loan spell might indicate he wants to play football with us, but unfortunately he's played very little football since and has had a series of injuries, so to expect great things from him immediately was always asking a lot. He was being slowly phased back into the starting 11 and I think he would have been raring to go at Bradford... if it weren't for another injury.

There's been nothing I've seen that says he doesn't want to play for BFC. He just hasn't been able to perform at his considerable best so far this season.

IMO stick with him. The lad'll come good. Fingers crossed.

I like Ryan and look forward to watching him when he can get himself fully fit and firing. A good player. The type we need.

I don't agree, but even if I did: where on earth are we going to 'move him on' to?

And whats wrong with gossips keeping their big gobs shut for a change. Being more specific also makes the opposition aware.
