Assuming this bid is true, and we don't know for definite do we? But if is true, it just shows how we are perceived by other clubs. Offer a few quid and we usually snatch their hands off. Only ever remember Ashley Ward bringing in more than he was worth.

How do you propose we get him on a longer contract though? We can't offer him what championship clubs can and while they are sniffing around he's not going to sign one.

 

300k is an insult not only to bfc but to winnall he has been a regular scorer even when players around him have struggled. Anything less that 2million bearing in mind posh got 2.8 for Washington and we may aswell keep him for the duration of his contract if we get promoted this or next season will be worth that alone. And sell and we have to replace him which will be very hard.

 

18 months of Sam Winnall is worth more than 300k - might as well keep him and let him go on a free next summer.
