Just for once take charge of the situation and unless the club are offered really silly money for our best players tell the other clubs to get stuffed other clubs do why the hell shouldn't we. Also make sure any sell on fee is on top of a silly amount because it's no good having the sell clause if like Everton with stones they won't sell.
Says in star we want a million for winnall for someone who if fit is garenteed to score 25+ goals in league one and is only getting better we may aswell keep him instead of selling for 1 million http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...r-from-leeds-united-for-sam-winnall-1-7703227
I'll be pissed off I we sell for a million especially to leeds what it could cost bfc in promotion this season or next and disheartened fans would be in excess of 1 million
Honestly, if they sell him for £1m and don't get in an adequate replacement it would provoke me into having a serious think about whether I'm going to renew my season ticket next year.
I think it's easy to forget the players' opinion when it comes to these deals. He's young, will be ambitious and as much as it pains me to say, Leeds is a big club and can offer huge wages. If the player/agent pushes hard enough for a deal it's counterproductive to fight against it (see Berahinho as an example) That said, we're in a relatively strong position here. He has a year and a half left of his contract, is in the form of his life and I suspect with a hugely reduced wage bill, it's not financially imperative that we sell. Ultimately, every player has his price but I truly hope we send out a strong message that we're not going to be bullied. Far worse footballers have been sold for far sillier prices from our division in the past. It doesn't make any sense for us to sell unless it's the kind of transfer fee that guarantees we can bring in 2/3 players of equal ability as a result.
Started watching BFC IN 1967. It always disheartens the fans when the club sells it's best players. After a run of 8 defeats the majority of fans kept the faith through blind Loyalty. Hope the board do the same. Actions speaks louder than words
