Nope, like many have said we are doing well now and the board/management are winning back the fans. I hate to bring up Darragh McAnthony, but you have to take is approach to it all. The man is king when it comes to selling on for profit. Show some bollcocks Mansford/Cryne
No. Minimum £2m, based on similar players (and still allowing for an element of BFC discounting compared to other teams). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Yes take note....................we accept that are better players will go but for goodness sake lets get market value. If your unsure Ben phone Peterborough up and ask how they do it.
When Vaz Te heard that West Ham had made a bid for him, he said he wouldn't play for us any more if we didn't sell him. I think it was Don Rowing who told us that. I can't imagine that would be the type of thing Winnall would do, he just doesn't seem like that type of lad, but suppose he did. And suppose Leeds did offer £1 million but refused to budge on that. Do we accept that amount, knowing that if we turn it down we won't have Winnall playing for us anyway? It's easy for us on here saying how much we should get for a player and how much we should refuse, but when people are the commodity you're dealing in, things get a lot more complicated.
Players have their heads turned by agents, didn't our own nice guy john stones put in a request to leave Everton earlier this season, to go to Chelsea? Now where is he playing his football..........oh yea hang on. Its how you handle the situation.........................over to you Ben lad.
No, not now, we're on a roll and he is scoring. Tell him, get 20 goals this season, prove yourself a 20 a season man in this league and in the summer the offers will be bigger and better, don't sell yourself short.
And if they won't pay it they won't get him and we can keep our star striker who's only halfway through his contract.
Also consider that the like of Adam Le Fondre left for 300k to Reading.. Not sure how long he had left on his contract at Rothrum but he was banging the goals in more frequently than Sam.
He's 18 months into a 3 year deal. We can demand what we want otherwise they should be told to get ****ed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes we can afford to do that this window. We'd be stupid to sell him this window unless someone offers around a million more than his worth. But come this time next year when he wont sign a new contract we'll be forced to sell and the offers wont be anywhere near what people are talking on here. Selling in the summer is our best bet. We still get him for a potential playoff push this season and we'll still be able to demand decent but fair value in the summer.
When he's gone a few weeks without any wages due to that stance, let's see who's in the driving seat.
That must have been nearly 10 years ago now, completely different market. Plus he was scoring at League 2 level.
Would I accept £1 million for Winnall...........YES !!!..........too right I would Just give me the money and you can have him. In fact I'll drop him off anywhere you want in the country. But I don't think the club should sell him for as little as that
