up $hit creek for the season. i reckon you'd probably wave goodbye to any realistic chance of a top 6 push. would also give fleetwood a huge boost going into thursday's game. would be a stupid move imo

Best thing what could have happened today would have been Winnall getting a groin strain out for a 3/4 week everyone leaves him alone missed Thursday but makes a miraculous recovery for bury at home.

Honestly. if we get over 1.5 for him then i'd use most of it to go and get Omar Roofe... If not then i have no fecking clue. I hope the club have 2-3 targets ready just in case it does happen.

I think it is too late in the window for the deal to go through. We have been linked with Nicky Clark at Rangers and Nichols at Exeter, but I would think that only about £2 million would tempt the board to sell and then only if one of those other deals could be pushed through in time. I saw nothing in SSW's celebrations at the end of the game to indicate that he was leaving, but just enjoying being here and having his own song.

If he leaves and we get good money for him, i would like to see us go in for Paddy Madden.

If we sell him then whoever sanctions it needs their head reading. It makes no sense. It would make no sense with a final and a play off challenge coming up.

We dont need to sell to survive. If he goes in the summer for at least what Pboro got for Washington then that would be good business for all parties. Selling him now for less than the Washington fee would be another example of incompetence.

would be crazy to sell sam at this time , irreplaceable at such short notice and we have nobody else in team who can score consistently . he has 18 months left on contract , so the board just has to say no deal ,and not for sale

If getting up to the championship is worth £5million revenue to the club, and the chances of us doing it this year without Winnall are almost zilch, I don't know why you wouldn't roll the dice and keep him until the summer

If we sell Winnall, we should make an offer to Sheff Utd for Marc McNulty who is on loan at Pompey

We did that with Vaz Te and Drinkwater, although we had no control over the latter.

A member of the board told me he won't be going anywhere.

I asked if that was fact or his opinion.

    He said both.

If the powers that be sell SSW then id be surprised ..whilst i know we are once again a selling club ( if we havent been all a long ) it would be short sightedness in my opinion..for one it would certainly show that we dont have any intention of making play offs let alone promotion, this year other wise we would be keeping our best players thus to give us a fighting chance of staying there if promoted

Yes i accept agents, money and the players ambition play a big part in the grand scale of things but unless im wrong Sam is Happy at Oakwell and enjoying his football...but then again who's not to say someone comes in for him and allows him to stop on loan until the end of the season fitting both agendas..and thus keeping fans onside..or is that just me wishful thinking...

i do honestly think that that the powers to be need to take a long hard look at the whole situation and take into account the bigger picture....his replacement and the financial implications it will have both on and off the field, that is to say how his leaving will impact on future season ticket sales...especially when the lack of ambition will be levelled at the club and rightly so should they let him go this transfer window
