Are people ready to accept that its very likely we will lose him this summer? If Sam stays fit and keeps in the goals the rest of the season I cant see that he'd sign a new contract. He's an ambitious lad and he's got to make his money while he can. Selling him this summer also gives us the chance to maximise the fee we get for him. Waiting any longer than that we'll be looking at below a million. If Sam totals 25+ goals and gets people talking about him with a strong Wembley appearance I think we're looking at £2.5 million. If his forms average and we dip below mid table I think around £1.2-1.5 million we be a fair price. Which ever happens we're looking at a big profit off the 150K we paid for Sam and it will be the first success of our new recruitment policy.
Not even sure we'd keep him on promotion but yes its more likely. I agree his hamstrings could hold him back though.
Not really giving it any thought. He's here until the end of the season. Absolutely amazed nobody came in for him. I'll continue to enjoy watching him until he inevitably leaves for what he sees as a better club/more money etc. It is what it is. I've no problem with great players leaving us, so long as we're paid very well for their services. We then have to hope that someone picks up the baton. And the cycle continues.
