Morecambe losing 1-0 to Pompey in the 94th min...of 4 added on, Barry Roach the Morecambe keeper comes up for a corner and scores with his head, they kick off and ref blows for full time, excellent drama at the end...I cant remember seeing a keeper score before.......

I saw the best keeper goal ever - Jimmy Glass for Carlisle to keep them in the football league :)

Ross Turnbull once had to change his shorts on the pitch and could have scored with any of the desperate middle aged women in the crowd that day if that counts?

The only similar thing I can remember is the opposite - a scorer, Glyn Reilly, going in goal.

Thank goodness for that, not aging as badly as I thought lol, I caught the night train home from Euston, 11:45pm, got back home at 6am...knackered but happy, I will always remember someone after the game stating that the win 3-2..meant we were mathematically safe that season, it was January....

To go one nil down straight after losing Gary Pierce with a badly cut knee early in the game was a big blow. However, the team simply rolled their sleeves up and played some wonderful football on a pitch resembling a ploughed field. We were brilliant that night, with only the woodwork & Gerry Peyton between the sticks for them keeping the scoreline respectable.
