As a child, I thought he was the greatest keeper on the planet, but looking back on it he used to get chipped/lobbed a lot for such a big keeper.

Would you rate him as one of the best in the world and/or Premier League history_

Great Keeper. There hasn't been anyone better since he retired in my opinion. He made mistakes, but not many.

He was lobbed because it was so difficult you get past him any other way.

Don't get me wrong, I thought he was the best in the world but I was about 10 years old when he was playing for Manchester United. That save he made away against Newcastle was something else.

He was the best. Not because of the way he'd charge off his line with no thought for his own safety and block at the feet of the on rushing striker, but because he sliced that clearance straight to Hendrie and helped set up one of the best nights of my life.

Played behind a great side. That must have helped his stats But I take nothing away from the fact he was a great keeper.

Overall the best of my lifetime, I do think had Cech not had that head injury he'd have been the best keeper ever though. He seemed to lose something after it, still top drawer though.

The best I've ever seen. I can't think of one weakness. His son produced one of the finest displays I've seen from a visiting keeper at Oakwell with Leicester, 1-1 draw in the early days under Keith Hill.

One of the greats, I imagine. Certainly haven't seen many better. I thought Oliver Kahn was a bit special, same era and despite also getting lobbed a lot, our own Dave Seaman wasn't bad was he?

Second best I've seen after Buffon.

Sticking my neck out here but I think Jack Butland could go on to be as good as these two.

Actually I forgot about Neuer who's gotta be recognised as the best ever now surely?
