I have a feeling Lee will leave after the game. He knows its a big game for us so will want to get us through it(hopefully). I just have a feeling its going to happen. Pure speculation on my part 2+2=...... Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
John Pemberton is the favourite, Bristol fans don't want him if the local press poll is owt to go by, we've not been approached for him, and Bristol haven't said they want him. It's speculation based on people probably putting a speculative tenner on him so bookies automatically shorten the odds and then others thinking someone knows something so doing the same and before you know it the odds are really low despite no substance. He will be going nowhere.
More to the point, I don't understand why Bristol City would risk their Championship future on a manager that has yet to prove himself in League One.
Someone at work this morning has told me he's leaving after the game. That was around half past 9 so obviously there is a rumour going around. Not sure where it has come from. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
I hope he doesn't; I am one of the ones who didn't want him to leave earlier in the season, mainly because I was sick and tired of repeated manager culls and I thought it was time we gave someone a chance to prove themselves. If he leaves now, he would be showing a total disregard for the club, the fans, the players and those in charge at the club who have shown faith in him thus far.
He's currently 1/8 with the bookies, so either it is just random betting or somebody knows something. But expect the book to be closed if it stays like that Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
That's a weak excuse if it proved true. Sorry Patrick I can't repay the faith and loyalty you showed in me by not sacking me because some fans wanted me sacked.
I'd be very surprised if he leaves, Bristol are a club in permanent turmoil, wouldn't be surprised if it all went t***s up again soon. They're currently in the relegation zone too...wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
Not at all. Some of the flak he took was appalling - really personal stuff. I know it's the nature of the job, but I'd understand if he just decided to chalk **** on it.
The bookies are not fools. They are usually not far off and with those odds now 1/8 then I would say he is on his way
They're not fools, but that doesn't mean there is any truth in this. If loads of fans put money on the bookies will change their odds.
Any abuse on here is from a minority of fans, and not from the players or those in charge of the club; therefore I would say that if he does leave, it's not perfectly justifiable. Barnsley FC has shown patience and confidence in him, my view is that he should repay that faith by staying put.
No loyalty in football anymore. Who was the last player or manager to show loyalty to Barnsley? Redfearn? Bigger pay cheque, chance to work in the league above and have a bucket of cash to spend. Bit of a no brainer, aint it?
There have been posts asking for him to be sacked but I don't remember anything really personal being posted. At games he has been given a fairly easy time considering how things were going; it really could have been a lot worse. I honestly don't think him leaving, if he does leave, will have anything to do with the fans.
This how I remember it given the worst set of results for 50 years and the knock out by Altrincham he got a pretty easy ride.
But you are saying if he left he'd leave because of the fans and that would be silly of him. It's Patrick Cryne who stuck by him with loyalty and therefore if LJ has a decision to make it should be if he thinks he should repay the loyalty back or not. Us fans shouldn't play a part in his decision.
