Yes I know the is premature. But if LJ does go. And its looking like he is. Surely the clamor for this guy will be minimal? Yes he did well for a season at Swindon but 4-5-1 tippy tappy football is just not the Barnsley way. We'd have to endure 6 month of him trying to prove he can get us playing that way before we even start. And even if it does work that brand of football bores me to death. For me we should be looking to appoint from within. Cant see any other way if I'm honest.
We don't have any candidates from within. Apart from Bobby... who has zero management experience. If Bristol think LJ is a tub thumping relagation scrapper then they'll be in for a shock. LJ by his own admission needs time to implement his style but the Championship won't give him time. I can understand why he would be drawn to the role, but in my opinion it would a mistake for him to leave BFC now.
The funny thing is he'll be going there with his powerpoint promoting a brand of football they completely failed at BFC. I think Burton will have a chance. As will Heckingbottom and Disco. I'd say Bobby is least likely but still possible given he's the one that isn't employed as a coach.

He's been given permission to speak to Bristol City. He's not going to say no to a bigger wage, better league, more money to spend etc
Playing devil's advocate, just what is LJ's style? During his first 12 months in the job the plan appeared to be to play one up top, keep it tight, bore the pants off everyone. Then Hammill comes along, we go 442, and try to out-score the opposition. So whether the conversion was due to him being given time, or simply down to circumstances, might be debatable.

O'Dismal fell for the Bristol City patter, so much so he cut short his rest from football. As long as he takes his 100 day plan.
LJ's philosophy is a 5 man midfield and to win games by dominating possession. Thank **** he scrapped all that and he's left us in a position gunning for the playoffs rather than a team with zero confidence looking for a move away.
Actually he's a 3-5-2 man. There's only one man for the job, super Marky Robins. It's like I've woke up on christmas day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
