If you think its better in Bristol, just go, if you think you owe something to Patrick Cryne, then stay and get on with it. I think the very fact he wants to talk to them is a smack in the teeth for Cryne, but if he goes so be it. Dont think he is anything very good anyway, it seems he was suggesting he wasnt to lame for the players signed when we were losing, but takes all the credit when we are winning ! More faces than the town hall clock ! I realise my opinions mean **** all, in fact I was so pissed off with the turgid crap earlier this season , I am struggling to find any enthusiasm for the club, not even bothered about Wembley.
I agree mate - persevered with a lame 4-5-1 system, when Stevie Wonder could see it was *****, ruining Winnall into the bargain, got lucky with the Hammill signing, finally changed to a 442 as a last resort, and even went back to the 451 against Fleetwood at home in the first leg, nearly costing us the game. He's not a great manager, in my view, but I do think he should have told Bristol City to **** off because of the backing he got from the Club when were were dogshit before xmas
I think I have already said why not! I missed some games and I have realised that there is a lot more to life than sitting in a cold atmosphereless Oakwell , watching a team of young lads that are being asked to play a way they dont understand and I know that it seems to have changed in the last month or so, but I cant seem to rekindle the passion at the minute,. I have no love for the JPT and I am not a person that says onething and does another, I aint hypocritical, just a arsehole
I think Cryne would be happy to get out of that 3 year deal with LJ, to be fair. It tied his hands during the **** spell, otherwise we wouldn't be having this debate. We'd be slagging off some other poor fool, who'd be on a rolling 12 month contract. More importantly, who's taking me to Oakwell on Sunday??
Johnson actively encouraged us to accept an approach by not when asked about the Brizzle job the other day say something along the lines of I won't welcome an approach as i'm happy where I am and plan to stay here for a long time to repay the faith shown in me when 99% of other clubs would have fired me.
It was clear how much loyalty Johnson had when he spent hours writing a plan for the first 100 days at oakwell while taking Oldhams money. He will have done the same for Bristol after watching their dvd's. The man is a chancer and should be fired out of a cannon, in the general direction of the Bristol Channel
But it won't be cold it will be Spring. It won't be atmosphereless it will be the biggest crowd we've played in front of in nearly 10 years. It won't be Oakwell it will be Wembley. And it won't be LJs (passion-killing as you brand it) football. It will be someone else's. We are living in a relatively purple patch in the clubs history in the grand scheme of things. What would folk in the 60s and 70s have said to supporters turning their nose up at the chance to watch us at a Wembley cup final? I want to be able to tell my grandkids I was there when we lifted the only cup we'd won in over 100 years. There's no-one left at this point who can still say that. We all have the chance to be those people again and only Oxford stand in our way. Never mind. I'll give thee a wave on the telly from Wembley Way.
A penny for Thereev's thoughts on LJ if he does go. I bet he's foaming at the mouth to start a thread and say he told us he was a bad egg!
