[no thanks obnoxious little QUOTE=Terry Nutkins;1798972]Not for me mate, had his day and can't see him here under the current remit.[/QUOTE]
There's not many that I could think of who'd do it. We could, of course, choose a young, excellent coach who no one has really heard of to fit into this system we've got, but management is about more than that. It's about man management and inspiring the players. Wilson wasn't a great coach, your old fella did that, but he was a great man manager. Brian Clough didn't even involve himself in player recruitment or tactics, he left Peter Taylor to all that malarkey. I'm not sure the club realise what they've lost with Johnson. I reckon they believe they can employ a coach as good or even better than Johnson and it'll all fit in to place nicely and we'll be a success, but Johnson was a manager as well as a coach and I'm not sure they're so easy to find.
Maybe theres a left field appointment out there, a bit like Burton did with Rowett and then later JFH. I think I'd rather see us do that than go for a haggard old journey man boss if I'm honest, but again, its tough. I don't know what the answer is. Again we're in a bit of turmoil but at least theres a feel good factor about the team again, playing well, fans behind the club. Its felt like a decade since we could say that.
Couldn't afford him when we were in the Championship never mind League one...unless he's desperate to get back in football and brings his price down a bit.
That's what I'm hoping! It'd be feckin brilliant. Could see a lovely fit with his attitude and our town. Fingers crossed
