Me personally It'll be on my mind that he could always be on the look out for the next best thing.....I get it with players as they have a shorter career in comparison to a manager but if he thinks he's as good manager at the tender age of 34 then he's another 25 years in management!! He's on to a good thing at oakwell and with a trip to wembley on the cards I think he'd be crackers to leave now!!

Should he leave though I wish him all the best and thank him for getting my team to wembley

I would be pleased, cant blame him for looking at the opportunity at Bristol, home area, better salary etc etc. But if he decided to stay, it would also mean it would take an extra special opportunity to tempt him away again.

If he talked and declined and was back with us quickly I would just let it pass. After all we gave permission and it would be over quickly. However it's clear it's not just a does he want to sign up to BCFC yes / no. After this period of time and given he wont be in charge today and tomorrow there is obviously a negotiation going on indicating his answer is yes if the price is right. As such I want it announced he's gon and move on. If he comes back now he has to perform highly to avoid his position being untenable.

I wouldn't mind either way. He's not irreplaceable and all the next man has to do is come in and keep things moving in the same direction - but if he stayed I'd not have any bad feelings, it's obvious why Bristol would be an attractive proposition for him on the surface.

Very lucky manager.Hamill was the trigger he needed when he had got his head stuck up his arse playing the stupid system.Long has also been instrumental as again would have played Nyatanga til he was blue in the face.We conceded goals while Wabara was playing surprise surprise Bree back in the side and we are not shipping goals.4-4-2 the system we all wanted.LJ IS NAIVE.Any other club would have sacked him after 8 losses.
Still not as bad as Judas Wilson going to the Wendies.
Good luck LJ in getting Bristol relegated and see you next season.

What if Bristol fail to agree terms and he is rejected?

I'd be thrilled. He'd have spoken to them, listened to their offer and turned them down as he'd see us as a better option. We could crack on with our double-Wembley project, job's a good 'un. Plus the added bonus of watching tyrone1 spontaneously combust, which is always funny.

I think they mean "what if Bristol reject him?", Micky love.

Do we even know who approached whom? Our website says we have granted him permission to speak to Brizzle, implying he wanted to apply for the vacancy.

However the Brizzle statement says they've been granted permission to speak to LJ, implying they initiated the proceedings.

How do we know who made the first move?

I don't think it would bother me too much; it could be that he spoke with them but just decided to stay with us. I've done it, I went to two interviews and was offered the job, my current employer knew about it, but even though it was more money it just didn't feel right so I stayed where I was. I'm sure it can happen in football too.

Purely business though that isn't it. I'm presuming you don't have an army of fans that trust your 100% commitment to your role?

I'd start advertising for a new head coach

you know there might be better opportunities for us out there, that seems to be his theory, see how he liked it

I'm be glad. We need some continuity. I'd be worried changes would mean and end to our good form.

Wouldn't say home area. He was born in Newmarket which according to Google is over 3 hours and nearly 200 miles from Bristol.

But then emotion gets in the way and clouds judgements when the principle is exactly the same in business as it is in football. I can't believe I'm sticking up for LJ but all he is doing is talking to another club about a job.
