For me it's theirs to lose. They both playing a big part in this upturn of form. They won't unsettle the ship as the players know and respect them and they both deserve the chance to lead the lads out (with Rimmo) at Wembley. Obviously it could go tits up next few games but the beauty about it this time compared to last (Wilson's sacking) is that we aren't in any rush to appoint due to our form. I'd be happy to let them have a go.
Given where we were a few weeks ago under Johnson we've nothing to lose. Give them to ens of season and see where we go from there
Think Wright will go with LeeJay ...it was telling that Hecky's post match interview was up very quicky. Wanting to gauge fan reaction. I think they'll also see who puts their hats in the ring.
Another factor in all this is Patrick's intention to sell the club, would it be easier for a potential new owner to pick his own man and not have to pay off a manager.
But if it get's broke, are either of them capable of fixing it? I appreciate we're in a rich vein of form, and they team probably require little encouragement at present, but if we go and get turned over in a tough game at Gillingham, I'm not sure Wright or Heckingbottom are the kind to get us back on track. Nothing against the pair of them, but I'd rather the club appointed a permanent manager (assuming they have somebody in mind) and allow them to assess the squad between now and the next transfer window.
Yep. Wright head coach (if he was behind the strategy?) till the End of Season with Hecky implementing, please
Stick with them. And from what I've heard today Mansford has been telling people he intends to do just that unless Wright gets taken to Bristol or a candidate they consider too good to turn down becomes available
SkyBet currently not taking bets on Heckingbottom. They're apparently going to add him soon. Stuart Gray is a new entrant at 14/1
See how they get on in the short term. No need to rush into anything if we keep up the good form. I think Hourihane is an important figure in all this internal structure too.
how exactly does that work out? pemberton is bristols first team coach. LJ has not appointed an assistant yet.
Pemberton is his number two. Very similar situation to what Keith Millen is at Crystal Palace and what Micky Mellon was to us when Wilson came in
I get the feeling from within that it's likely to be Hecky's job until the summer then reassess from there. I'm happy with that, and said as much before today's game. Of course, a couple of defeats now and opinions will change. But not mine on this one. I think we've a free hit now this season. It's ridiculous that we can still make the playoffs, albeit unlikely, and we've a Wembley final to look forward to. I'm happy then to see it out with our lads, our staff, see what comes of it.
If they can keep the team at a level like the 2nd half then let them carry on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
