On Satdi. In a local derby against a side who will bring 3-4,000 away supporters. Unreal. http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=256099.0
They must not view Donny as having a risk element! Always surprising how poor Doncaster's crowds are considering the size of the place.
No surprise when you look at their attendances this season. Last 2 home games were approx 4,600 and 5000. They were both Tuesday night games but with no Saturday game between. Poorly supported side considering size and population of Town and its proximity to other clubs. Still laugh to myself when I think of former Charmairn John Ryan on Radio Dee darr claiming they were a sleeping giant and that they are a bigger club than Ipswich. They call us Dingles deluded as well.
Not bad considering they are still reletively new to football league and charge so much for season tickets.
It's terrible considering the climb back up from the Conference. Their first year in the Championship for more than 50 years saw them struggling to get 10'000 on a regular basis.
Their most expensive season ticket is £419, ours is £450. Our match day tickets are also a couple of quid dearer
