Got Chesterfield buzzing Playing Colchester, bottom of league. Chesterfield have not had one shot at all first half Cochester have had Seven Are we watching the final days of a once great manager.
How many have gone scince they beat Shrewsbury 7-1? To be fair to Danny chesterfield have had ten men scince the 18th minute. One all now but I do agree with the op every dog has its day and Danny's has been and gone thanks for the memories. Agent Wilson.
It's between them and Fleetwood in taking that fourth place going down. With Fleetwood having two games in hand, Wilson could be managing in League 2 next season
He's only contracted till the end of the season. Don't see Chesterfield keeping him on if they get relegated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When they brought Wilson in Chesterfield had lost 6 league games in a row and been knocked out of the FA Cup. They were dropping like a stone. He was appointed 24th December. They had a game 26th December which Mark Smith was still in charge for and they lost that one too leavening them in 20th position in the league. It's very rare a club has a complete turnaround in fortunes like we've been lucky enough to witness this season. However, in his first game in charge, Chesterfield halted the seven game losing run and drew at home to Coventry. They then hammered Shrewsbury and beat Rochdale away. Four tough games on the spin against Burton, Peterborough, Millwall and Wigan resulted in four defeats, but that was put to an end last night after earning a draw, despite being down to ten men from the 18th minute. After 8 games in charge he's won 2, drawn 2 and lost 4, which is hardly spectacular, but it's considerably better than the 7 game losing run that Chesterfield were on before he took charge. They're still in 20th position, but as we found out, a couple of wins can quickly move your team up the league. I don't know if Wilson will save Chesterfield from relegation any more than anyone else, but I do know it's way too early to write him off and if I was a Chesterfield fan I'd be very pleased the club had appointed a manager with such experience to try to get the team out of the mess they were in. Danny's been given the job of trying to prevent a team being relegated three times before. For the MK Dons and Swindon (who he took to the play-offs the following season) he managed it, for us he failed, so he's got experience of both. I'll be interested to see how he fairs this time around. I hope he does it because I really like the man, but, considering the state the team were in when he took charge, it's a very tough ask.
Please stop talking sense and printing fact about our club legend and greatest ever manager. Some will insist on slating him which I find bizarre. Yes, I'm still bitter about his sacking...
I am too. But, on the whole, I've been impressed with the way the club has conducted themselves recently and the transfer dealings of late (bringing in White and Hammill, keeping hold of Winnall and Hourihane) have been the best business this club has done for a long, long time. The way they handled Johnson's departure was exemplary. So I'm trying to get over it. I wish they'd stop picking fights with David Moyes though and there really should be an article on the official site addressing the problems many of us experienced Monday morning when buying Wembley tickets. For instance, I was overcharged for OAP tickets (£10 per ticket). I went down to the club to ask about this and apparently the same had happened to quite a number of people. I was given a very satisfactory explanation by a very polite and well informed member of staff - ticketmaster are refunding the money on to the cards with which we paid for the tickets. I can't see why they don't put that information on the website so everyone doesn't have to travel to the club for an explanation and the very busy staff don't have to waste their time dealing with us. I appear to have got sidetracked there.
Its a combination of end of career players sold and not replaced and inability to strengthen with quality. Theyll beat us in april
It's not trolling to talk about Danny Wilsons performance as a manager. Why can you and others not accept that whilst people love Danny for what he did at this club it doesn't make him untouchable in terms of having an opinion of him as a current football manager. Can you not see that you are the one trolling by turning up in every Danny Wilson post calling people brain dead and trolls? Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Problem is you wade into every post related to Danny Wilson to tell us what you think. Every single ****ing time.
