Assuming exit vote from Europe is secured. Absolute b*sta*ds, knew that was there main motive but only just confirmed it in a backdoor sort of way. It is the first condition on their list. Reducing bereavement leave ( standardised in the EEU ) etc etc . Confirmed by Jacob Reece- Mogg.
Is anyone suprised? Voting to leave the EU would be suicide, but those who don't like imigration won't be told
It's the only reason for me to stay in it. I would be all for trying something different by leaving. But anyone who doesn't think that the tories will totally dismantle employment rights should we leave needs their bumps felt
They've been chipping away at them ever since they came in under the last Coalition with dozens upon dozens of changes.Take a close look at the new proposed Trade Union Bill, which is not only damaging to the Unions but even charities and such. However, A Euro exit would see a mass erosion of these rights. The Tories idea of democracy and democracy for most people are almost poles apart.
Go on then why? Because in many ways to me the Eu looks fkd, too many stupid and autocratic rules and intent on meddling where they should keep out, and a common currency that lurches from crisis to crisis. It had laudable intentions when it was launched with countries helping each other out with strong a nd weak points, but now too many are joining for what they can get out of it with pretty much zilch contribution.
Am I missing something here, I thought Cameron was doing his level best to stay in, bullying his own Mp's etc?
And employment rights were so strong when we had the unions holding the county to ransom were they? And as for motives I'm not sure how this fits in with Cameron being about as pro Europe as its possible for a Tory to be.

They have already hiked up the fee to bring an EAT case and also curtailed the availability of legal aid. Expect this sort of thing to continue until at least 2025 whilever Labour persist in having an unelectable leader.
There are two options: 1). Leave the EU, which with the stronger regional assemblies will leave England with a Tory government probably forever. 2). Stay with the EU, and gradually erode the powers of Westminster and increasing the powers of Brussels, where a large element of power is held by more socially-minded politicians.
replace socially minded politicians with interfering loonies and you would be closer. The Labour Party should have thought about this before picking the shower they have at the helm now and gone for somebody remotely electable. I said at the time it was electoral suicide
