Rule change i'd make if I was in charge of football

White knew what he was doing when he fouled to get booked. Deserved a yellow.

 

I,d like to see sin bins in football same as rugby ,do away with all this building up of bookings or teams finishing the game with 9 men ruining the game for supporters unless it's a really bad foul then they get sent off.

 

I'd like to see the end of the constant shirt pulling and holding in the box. If it's a foul anywhere on the pitch then it's a foul in the box and a penalty.

im all for keeping 11 men on the pitch but when dirty talentless teams like rochdale and donny come to our place and try to kick everthing that moves, then card action has got to be taken.
how about giving the ref power ask that a player should be subbed if hes just comitted a red card or a second bookable offense (or he will be sent off instead). and what about giving a pen for the blatant professional foul even if it is outside the area.

 

I'd like to see players who injure other players through nasty cynical fouls out of the game for the same period of time as the players they crock.

 

It would be very difficult to define what is and isn't a deliberate foul. The tackle on White could be argued that it wasn't; he went for the ball would be his argument. Handball is the only element of the game which has to be deliberate, and look how much argument that causes

And if so many bookings were handed out, there'd be hardly any players left on the pitch by the end

 

So did their players with what they vir away with, but yet again we have a fekin inept referee ...

 

I agree. One thing I hate that all Mourinho teams do & its using his 3 attacking players who play behind the striker to constantly pull shirts & trip opposition players up to disrupt the game in the opposing teams half.

Because it's not done in their half they get away without picking up yellow cards.

 

1. Free kicks must be taken from where the foul was committed
2. "Shepherding" the ball out for a goal kick is obstruction
3. Foul throws should be conceded to the opposition

trouble is when its seen as part of the game,ie.taken one for the team and all that sh ite,its never going to happen..cheating is now part of the game and is even accepted by pundits....unless its against their team.
i'd even class waving pretend yellow cards at the ref as cheating and they'd be off for that aswell.

deliberate fouls are classed as cheating in rugby league and as such you dont see much of it going off,especially given the sin bin rule....

Fouls to be given when defenders obstruct to allow the ball to run out.

That and get rid of the ridiculous rule of players leaving the pitch after receiving treatment.

Also dont automatically send players off for diving in, if its a bad challenge then fine but its getting close to the point where you cant do **** all now.

As far as I'm aware, if you pull a player back by the shirt it is an instant yellow. There should be no room for interpretation by the ref, no warning to the player, just a booking.

I have absolutely no problem with the fact that White was booked. It was a deliberate foul to stop Donny from breaking. He took one for the team and was rightly booked. It was actually an excellent piece of refereeing as he allowed the advantage and then went back to book the player when the ball went out of play. Although he nearly ****** it up and booked the wrong player. My problem with the ref is that he didn't book the Donny player who pulled Hammill back by the shirt, he warned him and in doing so disregarded he laws of the game. Also, the challenge on White looked like serious foul play to me and deserving of a red card. It was the kind of challenge that injures players, which it did, and he should have been sent off.

 

But after the first game, manager would be telling their players not to do it, let the other team do it and let them get sent off. The trouble is as well, you have all the football pundits now saying "it's part of the game". You've got to be proactive to stamp it out.

 

The Rules as they are, are fine. Its the refs who are inconsistent and interpret them differently game by game and even differently depending where on the pitch it is in the same game. If the ref would have clamped down early on the repeated cynical fouls down our left side then maybe white would be fit now.

 

But would they be telling their players not to make any foul at all in case the referee misconstrues it is being deliberate? A perfectly good, and fair challenge that is slightly mistimed would cause a booking. Football would basically become a non-contact sport like basketball

 

Any player who gets injured must leave the field. This should stop players feigning injuries.

There lad yesterday, who headbutted Hammill's shoulder and started rolling around holding his face, just so the ref would stop play for a head injury to prevent us from taking a quick throw in. Pathetic.
