Honestly don't listen to Radio Sheffield commentary very often but I can. Had Barnsley player for years but only ever listened to it once. Honestly life scaring stuff. Put me off a few years ago with listing to Barnsley for life, i'm only fecking 25. Just negative BS. If it's Adam Oxley tonight then hes good.
Scowen had a shot a few minutes back, 30 seconds later, we find out it didn't go in. But we know what Flicker's wearing.
Adam Oxley does a cracking job for me. No support from anyone, it's just him talking alone for 90 minutes. Often on cold winter nights as well.
i cant stand radio pig anymore, for me they lost the plot years ago. and well done to colin & cackwell at rotherham, they have had 5 separate booking in the first half tonight. who's for some red cards eh ?
Talks like he expects to be watching Barca, sounds like he's the oppositions co-commentator and they way he goes on you'd think he'd been a top class footballer, Southend and Barnsley the highlights of his career....
I don't mind Adam's commentary. I prefer the lads we used to have though and their passion. I absolutely detest cutting away to games I don't give a flying **** about though. That really annoys me!
There's the advantage of listening on Player then. He mentioned others several times but the coverage remained with us, without interruption. I can imagine those listening on the radio would get annoyed about going off somewhere else for an update. Player is fine.
Not true Prince ,they cut out more than once. It went to Hillsbro at one stage to hear a penalty being missed plus to another, but cut straight back. However, that is the first time I have heard that since the early part of the season.
I kicked it into touch but the wife has now subscribed. I find it handy that you don't have to listen to all the commentary, just wait till you get a goal alert on your phone then you have plenty of time to sign into player, make a cup of tea and listen to the goal "LIVE".
I'm can't say how things are now but I cancelled my Player subscription because I was fed up of constant interruptions to report on other games, and because of the total lack of half time or full time summaries. I also felt I was paying for something on Radio Sheffield that I'd already paid for through my TV licence. In one game I counted the interruptions (sad I know). There were 23, including one where we were about to take a corner. It was a few minutes later when I discovered that we didn't score from it.
