Off to Wembley with family on the Saturday and thinking about doing London Eye. Anyone know of any deals to be had. Cheapest I can find for 2 adults, 3 kids which is £93 for 30 minute rotation with 4D experience (whatever that is). Is it worth it?

Also, where's everyone drinking on the Sunday - Been told to head to Covent Gardens and Leicester Square and avoid drinking around the stadium.

Blimey, I think I paid 11 quid some years back. Was well worth it. Tie the kids to a fence close by, they'll not appreciate it. You'll be able to wave to them. :D

If you're going by train, have a look at this. Keep tickets though.

In 2012 we had a London Eye plus river boat deal. Can't remember the cost, but the package was only just slightly more than the Eye Trip.

We wangled our way to the front of the queue for the Eye by telling the security guy that we were booked on the river cruise at a specific time.

I've been on the London Eye twice and loved it both times.

Cheers, we are going by train, but just read the small print on that offer.

    2For1 offer not valid between 25 March – 10 April 2016.

Bloody Typical. Although having just asked 2 of kids if they fancied it, 2 of em were 'meh!'

im not sure about the small print - prob the same as its the easter period with kids off school but the 2 for 1 offer for buying a train ticket will get you 2 for 1 on just about anything in london , including your snap in some decent places.

Decent but not worth anything like that price. Take em to the top of Hempstead Heath instead

Totally agree re Hampstead Heath - I'm up there with the dog most days. Best views from Spaniards - tube to Hampstead on the Northern line and then a walk up the hill or from Parliament Hill - tube to Belsize Park. Fantastic views and good pubs too in Hampstead.
London Eye is fantastic, but pricey. Try the Emirates Skyline - cable car from the O2 across the river - way cheaper and fantastic views plus it's great fun - tube to North Greenwich.
Pre the game good pubs in Kilburn - family friendly - Black Lion plus a couple more. London prices but better than Leicester Square etc. Soho has great pubs and cracking food too from burgers to tapas and everything in between .

    London Eye is brilliant

Can't remember how much it cost but tickets were booked over the phone automatically and, if I remember correctly, obtained from a machine at the London Eye when credit card was put in said machine.

Each pod was checked by staff when passengers got off - quite an achievement as the Eye doesn't actually stop for passengers to get on and off.
