First big tactical decision he's had to make tonight and it worked brilliantly! Contained Coventry with ease second half and nulified the threat of their wingers who stretched us occasionaly in first half. Massive credit to Paul and what a performance from the lads. not convinced myself. i thought we looked exposed initially with 1 up front and invited them to push on. midfield looked congested with scowen in it. personally would have put scowen wide and marley or chapman up front. fletch needed more help. thought it took about 10 minutes for us to get control back..
Thought we contained them really well and could have had 3-4 more goals on the break. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
That may also be because, like Doncaster the other week, they were pummelled the first half, so they got a kick up the arĂ—e at half time and tried to come out and play, BUT we were too clever for them once we had worked them out again and showed we didn't need the referee to win the game, or players were good enough ..
Fully agree with you brave but correct decision to change the formation for the second half, Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
I don't think there's any danger of us changing formation. Bury and Doncaster games though we have lost control second half after teams work out the high press game. With the injuries it was a good decision I felt. And in hind sight it was definitely the right decision. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
looking like we'll lose bree for a bit, and possibly sam as well. dunno about isgrove. be interesting to see how he lines up on saturday if they're all missing..
I'd go Tuton and Fletcher upfront and keep Marley out wide with Chapman so it doesn't effect our pressing game. Scowen is decent out wide but if he starts we have nothing on the bench to make tactical changes in midfield. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
