Really good performance but Hourihane should have got it for setting both goals up and continuing his Keane/Adams/Viera level win percentage as captain.
Hourihane was man of the match all day long for me. Robbo was excellent but made a few mistakes as well. The best defenders make things look really easy. They look that way because they're always in the right place. Kevin Long is a prime example of that. Sometimes Robbo gives himself more work to do as his positioning isn't quite right, which often makes his defensive work more noticable than that of a player as comfortable as Long. Feckin brilliant, but not surprising now that Johnson isn't holding him back. Great game at Crewe as well
Hourihane for me - proper box to box midfield display, busting his gut until the last second. Roberts and Mawson a very close second/third.
Roberts was immense in my book. Yes one or two of his passes went astray but he's a League One defender whose job is first and foremost to defend. Anything exceptional on the ball is a bonus at this level, and luckily we have a player who can do that in Mawson. But Roberts certainly showed that he can defend last night, and dealt especially well with that brute Henderson who's about the toughest he'll come up against. I suppose form and consistency might be a problem given he's a rookie in Football League terms but he's doing more than enough to keep the shirt at the moment.
2/10 for me. Sliced a kick into the stand when he had an 80 yard cross field ball on. Plus defending isn't an attribute
