I was a little concerned at the time scowern was injured and Brad Abbott wasn't ready for the first team. But brownhill has come in and I've been very impressed with him.
So if Winnall is fit would you suggest benching him and playing Fletcher up front on his own in a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3? Genuine question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
depends on the opponents like Always. It's not going to happen any time soon but I would really like to see Watkins up top with Williams in AM. But when Winnall remembers hes to drop and sit in that gap between the midfield and defence then it's working. Just think Williams would be a better fit but will we see him this season ?
How do you listen to this Football report? Is it only available on a transistor wireless box. Not got dib dab radio either.
Like TuneIn or RadioBox? I checked on the WeAreBarnsley website and there was a radio section, but no link to any broadcast tonight.

I thought Fletcher looked uncomfortable playing up top on his own. He looks a much better player when in a two alongside Sam. I just hope Sam is back very quickly.
Winning games doesn't mean you can't improve. The best get better by constantly improving. The teams that go onto dominate will have a great season and then instantly improve in the summer. IMO if PH misses any opportunity to improve then Barnsley don't make play offs.
maybe because I feel he fits the role better. Scowens good in that position too. Theres no rose tinted glasses Whitey for me. Just looking at ways to improve. Thats just the way I am when watching any sport. Cricket, Rugby, football or another sport.
You're suggesting 18 goal striker, Sam Winnall isn't as good as injury prone, lightweight midfielder, Ryan Williams, in a two up front. I'm not wearing glasses, mate. My eyesight is fine. I'm off now. Have a good evening.
I never put drop him for anyone unfit. All my opinions are based on the players been fit and thats why I said it's unlikely this season. 18 goals, like Giroud, a striker i'm reading tonight isn't good enough right ?
said to my mate before he scored that we were playing with 10 men, fletcher awol. scored and went awol again. game changer when he comes on as a sub, wierd
It's because more is naturally expected of a player at a champions league club. We aren't in the CL, we're scrapping to get out of league 1. In this league a striker who will score 1 in 2 (excluding penalties) is worth his weight in gold. It doesn't matter so much if he isn't a complete player, because at the end of the day we're playing Walsall at the weekend, not Barcelona.
but Barnsley players play against other league one players. Walsall won't turn up on Saturday with Pique and Ramos
That's exactly my point. In this league the opposition aren't world class. If a striker isn't a complete player and doesn't contribute in all the ways you think he should (which I do not necessarily agree is the case anyway with Winnall) the opposition aren't going to punish you to the extent where it's worth dropping him and losing 1 goal every 2 games.
