Everton defence much more solid without Stones

    Just been watching on Match of the Day and Everton's defence looks a lot better without Stones, in fact they only conceded a goal after he came on late on.

    Bet they wish they'd sold him in the summer now because his value can't be going up, if he's worth £40 million then Funes Mori must be worth £50 million!

    I think that's harsh.

    My Everton supporting mate tells me that they're looking better because Howard has finally been dropped for Joel & James McCarthy is back fit.

    Baines has also come back into the team after injury

    John Stones in my opinion is the best English defender in the Premiership and I'm quite sure his name will be one of the first on Roys team sheet in the Euros.

    To be fair it wasn't just this game, the defence improved when Stones (and James) were dropped and Jagielka came in.

    Absolutely brilliant. Don't you just love "fans". Yes they are the ones that during the duration of 90 mins call players anything from a pig to a dog, then hail them as the best player ever dependant on a misplaced pass or great first touch. Hilarious!
